Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI'm aware that this, and many other properties, are still recovering from Ian. So any complaint that could be attributed to that storm I have omitted. The whole stay was just...bleh. The front desk staff was not giving anyone a luxury experience. The rooms are WAY overpriced for what you get. furniture in the room was beat up. linens were not clean on my bed - when I called I got no apology just "we'll send housekeeping" (who were delightful) like finding someone else's sock in my bedding was commonplace! The main elevator broke so we had to walk through a stinky, dirty back parking garage to an alternate elevator. When you get on the elevator you're supposed to gain access to the floors by swiping your key - turns out that security feature was also broken so literally anyone who wandered down that alley to the back of the hotel could access any floor at any time - NOT ok! When I asked if the main elevator would be fixed soon I got "I really do not know" ....well seeing as how no one has been spotted working on it for days I guess....never??? just no concern for guest's comfort at all. I could go on but the main point is it's a 3 star hotel charging $800/night banking on their location making up for poor service and little to no amenities.
Great location! You can walk to all of downtown Naples. Pool is cute and cleaning staff is wonderful. But that's about all...

United StatesThe new group that has acquired Inn of the 5th in May of 2022 has stripped out the quality and amenities of the hotel. I feel sorry for the staff. The staff is wonderful and this new ownership is making their lives worse. My wife and I will truly miss what this hotel used to be.
The Inn of the 5th has always been a 1st class hotel that we have stayed in for years. We have always stayed in the Club Concierge Floors of the hotel. It was sold in May of 2022. The acquiring group has stripped out the quality of this hotel and its amenities. It even eliminated the position of the Club Floor Concierge.....it's the concierge floors without a concierge now.

United StatesI thought it was the right place to be in Naples to celebrate my wife’s birthday…. What a mistake. First the reservation person offer you some amenities they don’t have, second a BIG COCKROACH at your modern bedroom floor, third they don’t allow you to smoke a cigar in the pool area, even though it is an open space with no proper signage, and last you have to pay for your car parking ($25/day) but you easily find out that your car is parked on the street. I know it is under new management since May 2022 but you should be aware of these points above.
The bedroom size and modern look. The location is perfect for a night walk and local attractions. Right in the middle of the "hot spot"in Naples.

United StatesRoom was small with a commanding view of a building just feet from the window. The room was 10X more expensive than it should have been. It was a 3 star hotel with higher than a 5 star cost. Value for money was deplorable. Staff refused request to change the room or allow a short extension on check-out. The staff at reception was cold and unhelpful in every way.
Room was clean and pool area was nice.

United StatesThe room view which overlooked the side of a building. We would have preferred to have a view of the beautiful Avenue. The hotel seemed to be empty. (The most people at the pool was maybe 8)
the location was great, however, our room view was not so good. (even though the hotel seemed to be very empty). We did like the fact that we were close to the pool.

United StatesBeds were not comfortable, the hallways smelled like chemicals, the baby crib they brought for our infant was not nice/safe at all, and overall did not think the price of the room was justified. Very small room and nothing extra to put it over the top. Although the location was nice, 5th and the beach have lots of parking and can easily visit with a car. I’d stay at a different hotel next time because this isn’t worth the splurge!
Amazing location near the beach and on 5th, super friendly and top notch staff and amazing pool!

United StatesToilet overflowed, had to ask three times to have it cleaned up, then had to room change late at night because it overflowed again. Little concern from staff, cracked sink, loose shower drain, loose toilet paper holder and TV not working all the time, lot of issues for four diamond hotel.
