Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere wasn't anywhere to hang towels in tha bathroom. It never seemed like all the pump dispensors in the shower worked together; one day it was onl;y shampoo working but no conditioner or shower gel working, and the next day it was another combination.
We had a decent sized, comfortable room on the quiet 11th floor. The local area around the hotel was great to walk around, and only a few blocks from the buzzing restarants on Broadway, so a great location close to food and subway.

CanadaNothing major, more just a few inconveniences. The bathroom wasn't small, but the shower was quite harrow so elbows hit the walls. A coffee machine in the room would have been appreciated. The mini bar was well stocked but excessively priced so it felt more like a waste of space in the room which could have been used for an armchair for somewhere to sit other than the bed.
Comfortable king bed in a decent size room for NYC with room to walk around the bed. Great location close to subway stations and great cafes & restaurants in both Nomad and Koreatown. The wine hour from 5-6pm was a nice touch and the bread treats from Bourke Street Bakery were delicious. 24hr gym with free and cable weights and peloton bikes was convenient too.

The hotel was great, staff were helpful and friendly, the lobby was comfortable and most importantly, the beds were super comfortable. The rooms were cozy in that you heard no neighbours up, down or side to side. You can hear typical city traffic but not busy traffic, just a typical city hum. The location was perfect whether going uptown or downtown, east or west.

United States- no coffee maker in room and ird coffee too expensive. - very slow drain in sink. Remedied once FD was notified - limited IRD menu items and times - shower showing signs of neglected cleaning with mold in grout. - could use nightstand on opposite side of beds. Backup set of pillows in room - lack of map and highlights of immediate area. - lack of overnight IRD.
Location, friendly staff, spacious room, comfy bed, A/C not too loud and helped drown out the street noise. Great hotel bar (Scarpetta’s) Would LOVE to buy an amenity bar “hutch” similar to what is in rooms. Housekeeping personnel was very lovely and hospitable. Front desk team was very accommodating and responded timely to requests or maintenence requests.
