This is more related to the page on Booking.com, but I wish there had been a clearer outline of what parts of the hotel were closed due to Covid vs. what is still open.

Staff were totally disinterested and rooms not very sound proof.

Lovely location for nightlife. Nice common area bar for hanging out and meeting friends. Space can be taken over by weddings though making it difficult to use.

We were placed in a room that was facing towards the other restaurants and retail shops on the block. There was no issue until it became the long weekend and the hookah bar rooftop turned into a strip club - the rooftop is basically the same level of our room and just 15 feet away. The music and noise was EXTREMELY loud and disturbing. The other issue was the cleaning people would just unlock the door and walk in while we were still sleeping in bed. It was very awkward. I would understand if it late morning but it was early like 9am and checkout is 12pm anyways.

    Great location, clean facilities.

Staff worked hard to make sure I felt they were doing me a favor - I do generalize, but the staff at reception were just not interested to assist. Also, I am from Africa (Johannesburg) and so there's a bunch of things one does not know and often feels awkward to ask many questions. I enjoyed my stay so much, I was speaking to my USA colleagues and advertising The Line DC in a BIG show offish way ... LOL! The hotel outperforms the staffs ineptitude, so don't worry too much about that.

I really enjoyed the surroundings, it was peaceful! I enjoyed the hotel facilities, the location was perfect for UBER, the walking distance to shops and food was great, price was awesome, OVERALL very nice

Expensive for what it is. Lots of hidden fees (tax, 'resort fee', 'amenities fee ' etc) . The final bill is almost 50% higher than what is shown on Booking.com.

Comfortable bed, free Nespresso pods daily, excellent gym, lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars and commerce

Room was not cleaned during our stay, despite our request. The hotel was promoting special amenities - vegan chocolate chip cookies - which we ordered and paid for. They never could produced these cookies despite repeated requests. Elevators were constantly broke. This hotel cost us, after taxes and parking, about $450 a night. Service should have been FAR better.

Good location. The bar in the hotel is very nice.

Many aspects! I traveled long distance and when I arrived from the airport with the luggage all the roads were closed because they had a street fair?!? The taxi driver almost dropped me off on the road to drag my suitcases around? The police wouldn’t let the taxi go, and after circling around many blocks (with people drinking on the street) they were able to direct the taxi through a back entrance. In addition when I arrived in the dark lobby there was nobody to help with the luggage? For this 4 star hotel? They said that they don’t have a bell boy.

    Not much

A cool hotel in a great location. The room, which I shared with a friend, was stylish, spacious, and bright, and I appreciated the attention to detail with regard to amenities (e.g the Nespresso machine and china cups - never to be taken for granted in hotels in the US). The cafe/restaurant was rather good, too. Staff were consistently helpful and lovely. The price was good for D.C. All in all, a very pleasant stay!

You should be aware that there is a demolished building next door that is being removed and it is quite noisy during the weekday. The music in the lounge/bar area was too loud. Also, although we'd set the room's temperature, it never seemed to get there. It also doesn't feel like it lived up to the marketing. You aren't staying in a converted church; you are staying in the building adjacent to a former church.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. It was centrally located, but not very ideally located.

Drinks in the bar are very expensive, and the hotel is not especially geared towards families with kids.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, nice mini bar selection with reasonable prices. Nice bar area downstairs with fancy drinks, Nice cafe with baked goods and coffee. Interesting historic building in a great location for Adams Morgan sights yet still within a good distance to get to the monuments and museums.

The TVs were old. You can’t cast your phone to them nor do they offer any streaming services. Strictly cable. The bed AND pillows are hard and uncomfortable. The walls were dirty. Some had clear water damage. The bathroom floor had dirt and paint. My room was next to where they do the trash. So all morning all you could hear was the garbage trucks. I unfortunately could not sleep at all. The room honestly has nice decor. It’s really cute! But it’s like a bad house flip job! The AC does not cool the room down and they won’t let it go lower than 65. The front desk at check in and check out were cold and rude. I had to call 3 times after checking out for a receipt. And it seemed like I was nothing but a bother. We had two different rooms and they were both like that. The Valet was $55 and it’s not even 24 hour valet. I can understand $30/$35 and it being not 24 hours. But $55 dollars is crazy to be closed from 11:30pm-7am! Overall I would not recommend this hotel for the price range. I love love boutique hotels. But this one is not the place to stay. Also a late check out was an additional $20 per hour.

The decor is pretty!! Two free spring waters per room. Real snake plant.

I had issues moving from one reservation to another. One employee told me I can stay in one room, and another later informed me its impossible. Had to pack and move to later inform me that I can indeed stay in the same room. This is unacceptable for this type of hotel.
