Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceIn the room we had a lot of broken things, for example the hook for the towels, the toilet door didn't close, the electric keys didn't work, we had to try several times.
it's really very beautiful and very calm.

United StatesThe ground floor corridor was smelly of stale food that was probably kept outside for hours. We were thankfully on the second floor. That tells that there is less attention given to clearing the food from the rooms after it has been served. About the room, we stayed in a 2 queen room. The size was okay. Beds were so soft that it may have some people not sleep comfortably (at least we couldn’t). The hospitality is fine here. Upon checkout, we weren’t asked “how was our stay”, typically we expect this from a 4 star hotel. I had interaction with 2 people. Even a 3 star hotel reception asks that basic question.
Property is vast and laid out in different buildings. We stayed in grand reserve building 8, it was well overall. The valet person was extremely helpful.

United KingdomSome staff were not very friendly. You have to pay extra to use the spa which is not the case in the UK but it may have been on the site and I didn’t see it. Pool was great but no service / bar. Maybe too early in season.
Really great. We were upgraded to the property opposite us (can’t remember its name but it turns out it wasn’t as works were being done and we didn’t get the vineyard views. ) but rooms were switched on the next day with ease. The vineyard walk was small But lovely.

United StatesOur junior suite was stuck in back corner of building, ground floor. Privacy limited. Staff walking by on road all day. Truck parked with motor running around 5:30 am. Downspouts were noisy enough during rain to wake me up.
Thought we’d pamper ourselves by reserving junior which was beautiful. Wife loved soaking tub. Comfy bed & pillows. O & H dining was very tasty. Spa is amazing and in a very unique cave location.

United StatesI did not like that everything closed early. The only bar was extremely crowded, not enough staff & closed early. With nothing else really being around? it would be nice if the lounge & the bowling alley had later hours.
I liked the location. A nice establishment. Clean, roomy, classy. I would visit it again.

United KingdomThe signage at the pool side made if feel like a children's leisure centre. If you have a room on the ground floor, you may have a view of the vineyards but will be thru the carpark. The patio outdoor furniture was tired. Cost of the wine at the restaurant Olive & Hay was expensive seeing that we were in wine country.
Adult's only Pool & outdoor jacuzzi which closed at 10pm. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Room was spacious, decorated to theme and nice and cool, no need for aircon. Had Coffee machine and complimentary bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Free parking. Different areas/restaurants/bars/patios to hangout and do things.

United StatesThe Property was very nice. Pool was great and very beautiful. Staff was nice but probably could have used more customer service training for a hotel at the price point. The shuttle to downtown was easy and convenient. The rooms were nice and lots of options for food and activities on property. Our best experience with staff was at the Crush lounge and our shuttle driver to town.

United StatesDefinitely the cleanliness, our shower had big hair on the wall. The hallway had food from the rooms from one day to another and nobody cleaned it.
The location is really good, our room overlooked the wineries bringing an Italian vibe.

United StatesPool was very busy, no seats left - could be better oversight of people who left their chairs for hours before coming back from lunch. Really strange bar in lobby area with server who seemed offended I had referred to the menu as being bar bites - we had wanted something more substantial but no restaurants were open on the resort so he advised us to go back to our room and order room service?!
Room was lovely, very comfortable. Check in staff fantastic. Pool area was great.

United StatesThere were no towels by the pool, we had to keep asking the staff to bring towels. Everyone at the pool had to. There are also not a lot of food options. There's one place for breakfast and it was fine but nothing special. The food is always a little disappointing here and I've been here three times now.
The rooms were lovely, the pool was fun but the jacuzzi was broken and a little dirty. The staff were excellent, polite, helpful and attentive.

United KingdomThe hotel was overtaken by conferences for our entire trip which was not disclosed at the time of booking, all public areas were constantly busy with business people making it hard to relax at times. Table and breakfast set up began extremely early in the morning for the conferences right outside our bedroom window meaning we were woken up before 7am each day by staff moving furniture, crockery and loud chatter.
The rooms were lovely and spacious with very comfortable beds and a great sized balcony. The pool area was great with brilliant service!

Wonderful stay, staff went about and beyond to decorate our room for my bf's birthday. The room was clean and comfy. We stayed at the Bordeaux building on the first floor, so we had a parking view but also a vineyard view! It was secluded and beautiful. The staff were very friendly! It was the perfect stay for us and would a 100% come back.
