How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Tricky thermostat
Everything from initial online reservation to checkout was wonderful! The apartment location was ideal for access to USF campus and only a short drive to downtown Tampa. It was clean, well maintained, comfortable, and very roomy. We even squeezed in a swim since the pool was so inviting. I will definitely choose to return in the future.

What's there not to like. It felt like home!
I love everything about this place. It's cozy and comfy. The place was very nice and clean. The hosts were very thoughtful in the accommodations of the booking. It's very peaceful and quiet in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here at The Orchid.

The apartment was beautiful. Instructions form the owner to get the key were very clear and easy to follow. It was very clean, we only needed one room, but both rooms had huge beds with very comfortable pillows. Food and groceries were close by! big plus. Bush gardens, the Zoo and the Aquarium were pretty quick drives away. The only "Negative" thing was that there was only body wash in the showers. No shampoo or conditioner. It was a non issues for us. We just bought some and left them there when we were finished. But we had assumed that there would be some when we made the booking. Again. 10/10 place to stay! A full apartment for the same price/cheaper than a standard hotel room. That's why we booked

There really isn’t anything awful I can say about this rental we had the greatest time. However, if I had to say one thing that wasn’t absolutely perfect it would be the water pressure. We were still able to shower and we were still clean and it was still lovely. It just would’ve been great to have a little bit more water pressure. It did not hinder our enjoyment for our stay in anyway though. 
We absolutely enjoyed our stay this past week so very much! 10 out of 10, we would definitely come again, and honestly for any trips to Tampa in the future we are hoping that this place is available. Never have I ever stayed in a place while vacationing that felt more comfortable and like home. It was so lovely to know that while we were exploring Tampa, someplace safe and comforting, was waiting for us when we got tired.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and it had everything you need. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee and cream. Super closed to Bush Garden, groceries and tons of restaurants.

Hard to find something I didn't like.

Fantastic location close to so many restaurants as well as Busch Gardens, not to mention a spotless unit! We had a great time - and had everything we needed in the kitchen and my kid loved the games in the living room. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Tampa. 10/10!

I had an amazing stay at this property! The apartment was very clean and roomy, and it was in a convenient location as well. It's right across the street from USF and minutes away from great dining and shopping. The hosts were very communicative, attentive, and courteous too all of my needs. I highly recommend staying here!

I loved this apartment! It was a great location - next to so many restaurants and shopping centers and I couldn't believe it only took a few minutes to get to Busch Gardens. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the place was spotless. We would totally stay there again - Danna and DNY prime were amazing hosts! Great experience!

Honestly, there was nothing to not like. Everything was new and beautiful and exceeded my expectations.
LOVE this apartment! Probably one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in! Spotless. Extremely comfortable unit and great location. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Will definitely come back! Overall, great value! :-)
