Thin walls. Breakfast was bad. A lot of carbs. So little fruit. So little variety. We picked this hotel because we thought the food would be good. It was not. Not vegan friendly. Bed was hard. Little mildew in shower. Water pressure was turned off so shower heads and bathtub was not great. For over $200 a room we expected breakfast to be better. Furnace creaked and made weird sounds. There are two buildings. The restaurant divides the buildings. No elevator. The room doors do not close. The alarm keeps going off. Call the hotel before booking. Our rooms were not together.

The bed was too firm. I woke several times during the night due to discomfort. They should definitely look into higher quality mattresses or at least a quality mattress topper to soften the beds.

Some minor flaws are that the TV is difficult to navigate and that the building we stayed at (separate from the main hotel) doesn’t have hot water, a coffee machine, or paper cups. You have to walk all the way to the main building to get them.

The Morgan never disappoints. I’ve stayed here on numerous occasions and every time I’ve been very pleased wither their services and facilities. I had a lovely 1 night stay here this weekend. We had a beautiful room on the top story. It was clean, spacious and had a gorgeous view of the rolling hillsides. The room is fully equipped with everything you need … coffee machine, mini fridge … the usual. The front desk receptionist is extremely kind and accommodating. I paged him several times asking for cups, help with programming the TV etc. and he was so kind to come over to my room to resupply me with what was missing.

The room was heated with an in-room open-flame gas furnace. When we entered the room it smelled like there was a gas leak. I was surprised such an antique heating system is still legal today.

The property is a bit dated but in very good shape. The room was huge, comfortable, and clean. Staff was very friendly. A decent free breakfast was provided.

We requested a room with an ocean view. It was not the view I had hoped for. There was an ocean view, but just a slice of ocean came tĥrough.. The big view was behind many trees and bushes, but I could hear the waves which I did enjoy.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. There is no elevator, so they made sure that we had help getting to the 2nd floor to room 261. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was my husband's birthday. Every time they saw him they wished him Happy Birthday. They also made restaurant suggestions for his dinner celebration.

Both check in/out staff were very nice. I mistakenly booked a standard king room thinking all along I booked a partial ocean view. I gracefully accepted my mistake and gentleman @ front desk found & offered a room with a beautiful view. How cool was that?! Room was very clean. We had the windows (3) open for fresh air and ambience all day/night. Good to hear they're hosting a continental breakfast again. Boiled eggs, DIY fresh waffles, oatmeal, variety of bread(s)/muffins, cereal, condiments, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and juice.

I didn’t like the breakfast. Basically except fruit, and coffee nothing was a healthy choice. Too much sugar, and gluten.

Location was fantastic since the point of our visit was the Hearst Castle.

The sofa and the carpet in the bedrooms are quite old and looking tired. When the windows are closed the room feels stuffy . The breakfast they offer does not have options with protein based food like maybe sausages or meat products no option for diabetics like me.

The room looks clean the staff are friendly.The breakfast decent. Near within walking distance to restaurants and the beach.
