The hotel was very warm everywhere. The hallways and elevator were just too hot.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Breakfast was very good, but not included and very expensive.

Long walk from parking lot to front entrance of facility (especially in bad weather)..To pick up someone standing in front of the facility, need to drive out of the grounds and then come back into the driveway (one way driveway). Should include complimentary greatest with hotel price.

Facility decor and dining . Staff was friendly and helpful. Old style classic setup. Large bathroom. Was not crowded,( probably due to time of year). Close proximity to town.

Only the time of year was really cold.

The staff made our stay memorable. Not only did we get to experience a new town but we experienced new people and everything they had to offer.

I honestly can't think of anything that could have been done better. Maybe if you had some control over the weather you could have made it about 20 degrees warmer.

The staff went out of their way to be nice, courteous, helpful, etc... Check in was a breeze, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the entire vibe of the hotel was amazing. It felt like we stepped back in time but with all the comforts of today.

Perhaps the room is a bit more costly than I would pay but the facilities are lovely. I dine frequently at the Hawkeye throughout the year.

The Otesaga staff are incredibly welcoming. We received a welcome gift and a departure gift of baked goods. The Hawkeye and the coffee shop had fresh and delicious food. And the hospitality suite was a nice additional place to sit in addition to the lobby. The activities for adults during Thanksgiving created a nice sense of community. Another plus, they don't skimp staff to clean the rooms, our room was cleaned an hour after we left in the morning.

No jacuzzi and the daily phone calls, emails and texts I received to ask about anything I might need while we were visiting. I think one call, text or email was sufficient.

We checked in to be greeted by Amanda at the reception desk. We were immediately upgraded to room with a view of the lake and offered a discount due to my husbands military service with both the army and air force. We quickly changed and visited the pool which was a beautiful 87 degrees on this splendid October afternoon. We took a quick swim and enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio of the Hawkeye Grill. The service was impeccable and food was excellent, especially your famous chocolate stout cake!

We did not like being told that there were no accomodations for us for dinner and where we could not sit to eat it. It was a bit snooty and unfriendly. We ended up walking into town and having a great dinner there although it was not our plan to do so.

The breakfast was wonderful. We were dissapointed to not be able to sit outside however as it was full. The eggs and omelet were fantastic!

Our room was clean as always. This is the first time we have not been happy with it. Thankfully, the windows open. The prep kitchen smells permeated our room--it reeked like fish that they were cooking. This room was the smallest I have ever had here. We weren't going to be in the room much, but it was over filled with furniture--get rid of the over-stuffed chair and bench! We were constantly tripping over the furniture--not fun in the night to get up for the bathroom. Was not a value for the cost this trip!

We always love staying here. The property it self is gorgeous and comfortable. Food and service and excellent. Easy walk to anywhere in town--great location.
