One of the rooms smelled bad, the light came in from outside and kept us awake because there were no curtains, the bathroom was small, the pillows weren’t great and became flat over time, making it hard to stay comfortable. However, we had a great time anyways! The location and staff were excellent and the set up worked great for our group, and the price was better than anywhere else around.

It is situated right on the highway ( rte 1 ) It’s a motel so should have been priced lower. The shower was in the bathtub old style. The heat unit was noisy. If you like options like a lounge or lobby to sit in outside of the room , this is not the right place.

The only thing we didn’t like about the room was that our room was the very end of the row which was next to a major road so it got a little loud at times

All one level, your own parking spot right in front of the door to your room so unloading and loading back up were easy. Free Continental breakfast was the best I ever had from any hotel.

Towels were very small and like sandpaper. Needs weather stripping around door and air conditioner. Needs a curtain at the window. Needs a heater in the bathroom.

The front desk staff was unaware of events happening in Portsmouth.They had the events listed on a board at the front desk. Also not told about the cocoa bar which would have been nice after we returned to the hotel after a rainy night out

The heating unit under the window worked fine and was easy to use, BUT it was loud and the blower would have put an occasional stiff wind across the beds each time heat switched on. I put a chair in front of it so the wind didn’t bother, but the noise was still impressive and disrupted my sleep.

Beautiful decor and quality of furnishings. Good amenities like microwave and one cup coffee pot. Breakfast was varied and tasty, well done, and the breakfast room was, again, beautifully decorated and pleasantly situated.

The hotel was in a convenient location. Close to Portsmouth shops, UNH, and Maine. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There were good choices for breakfast.

Carpeting in the room was that striated stuff I've seen used in other properties. It looks dingy even when brand new.

Large variety of items for breakfast. The automated pancake machine was something I had not seen before. The make your own waffles were excellent. Dog friendly. free treats for him and the "comfort area" has a poop bag dispenser. I used the Tesla destination charger. There was no cost for guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This motel-style inn was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location for a cute New England town. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and courteous, even with our late-night arrival. There was a mix of hot and continental breakfast in the morning. I liked it a lot and would definitely come back!

The only things I can point to as downsides are that the bathroom door didn't really close all the way (at lease in our room), it kept getting stuck, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, but luckily there was a window you could open for ventilation, and the bedroom area itself was a little bit on the smaller side. It worked fine for two people, but if you have kids with you, it will definitely be cramped.

The hotel's location to the city center was excellent. The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean, nothing fancy, but serviceable. There was a hot breakfast, but it was the same everyday, and there wasn't a lot of variety in anything else as far as yogurts or breads. They did have the make-your-own waffle station, which is always fun and the coffee was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
