Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesthe continental breakfast is puny - might be better to give coupons for a nearby cafe. while bed was very comfortable, it was a small queen and should be swapped for a king, especially in the very large room that we had.
check in at the hotel right around corner. beautiful old house. fantastic location -3 block walk to the St Charles trolley. much better than trying to drive/park in the french Q. Bed was super comfortable. water pressure for showers was excellent.

United StatesThe breakfast was a joke. It was cereal and toast and yogurt. Not a breakfast you would expect at a bed and breakfast. And you had to walk to the other location for it and to park your car.
The room was clean. Close to trolley to get to Bourbon Street and other sites.

United StatesThe bathroom was slightly below par (some tears in the shower curtain, a slightly janky toilet flush handle).
Very spacious and high-ceilinged rooms in a quiet, graceful neighborhood. The temperature was comfortable and we made use of the mini-fridge and the wardrobe. The staffers at the front desk were also kind about letting us store bags in a nearby room both before checkin and after checkout.

United StatesCanned fruit cups, tepid yogurt & dry cereal poured from a community container. Housekeeping did not replace the depleted coffee supplies for anyone in our party of 3 rooms.
The breakfast was woeful, even by "continental breakfast" standards. No only meager, but squeezed on a sidewall in front of the hot air blowing from an air conditioning unit.

United StatesIt's such a beautiful place and with just a bit more attention to dusting (entry area floors and stairs) could have made it breath-taking. It would be nice to have had a place in-house that one could purchase a beverage (water/sodas) or a quick snack.
The Queen Anne is beautifully decorated and what we hoped the room would look like. Liked the porch area so that one could have a morning coffee and enjoy the start of the day. Did not partake in the breakfast as there was a breakfast cafe (U Please) near by that served a full breakfast. Nice to have an ice machine. We appreciated the security. Hardly noticed that there were other guests. Everyone was so respectful and quiet.

United StatesThe only thing a bit unusual about this location is that Queen Anne is technically one of three properties that are all managed under a "main" property nearby, which is where parking is located and check-in is done (the Prytania Park hotel). This wasn't originally disclosed to us, but easily figured out thanks to helpful signage on the front gate. The Prytania Oaks nearby falls under the same hotel group.
The location of the resort was very beautiful! The garden district area surrounding it had plenty of historical homes nearby if you wanted to do a walking tour and you also had easy access to the streetcar system if you wanted to head over to the French Quarter and its nearby attractions (Audubon Aquarium, WW2 museum, etc.) The nearby restaurants also offered a lot of good options and being a relatively short distance from Magazine also offered a litany of good food choices. The breakfast was simple but good, and having free, secure parking was nice as well. The hotel itself is essentially a renovated mansion and is best for anyone looking to stay somewhere with a historic feel to it.

United StatesThe main reception is located at the Prytania Park Hotel (same location breakfast was served) around the corner. That is little inconvenient for check in/check out especially if the weather is bad or its after dark. At first we didn't like having to walk back to the Prytania Park Hotel for breakfast, but that negative quickly turned into a positive. The walk was very enjoyable.
The historical home was beautifully converted into this boutique hotel. They were able to keep the essence of the old home in each of the rooms. Breakfast was served at the main hotel around the corner, but the walk to and from was very enjoyable. Every staff member that we encountered was courteous, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed speaking with them. There were a few things out of sort in our room when we arrive (i.e. burned out light bulbs, etc), but the staff fixed them ASAP. This is an "adults only" hotel and we really enjoyed the quietness of it. We would definitely stay again.
