Room 508 was less comfortable than 417 as the bed was oddly sagging on one side (the other side was fine!) and there was such a large gap at the bottom of the room door that the whole room was bright from the hallway lights at night (fixed by putting a towel in front of the door). Also, I had called before about allergies and it seems that the note was not added, so I ended up on the pet friendly floor (only found out as I overheard a pair with a dog checking in a few days later). It would have been nice if at check in there would have been a conversation to ask if there was a problem with being on a pet floor.

The room itself was very nice, the kitchen with full amenities was a nice touch. I do like being able to cook whilst on vacation and the small details like dishwashing liquid and salt & pepper, and kitchen towels provided make quite the difference. The room itself was very spacious and well designed. The bed in room 417 was fantastic and super comfortabel. Very happy it was possible to change rooms (due to allergies) when I found out that the 4th floor was a pet friendly floor, got moved to room 508 and the allergy symptoms dissipated mostly the next day. Loved that there were water taps with cold filtered water available on multiple floors - to me this made a world of difference. Also, doing a load of laundry at 2,50 is super adorable. All staf were super friendly and always available for questions. It was above and beyond that someone from maintenance could come by in the evening when the tv signal got knocked out due to bad weather.

From the warm welcome at check-in to the spacious and well-equipped room, my stay at The River Inn exceeded all expectations. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even printing my documents for free upon request. Special thanks to Saif for taking care of my car. The room's kitchenette was a pleasant surprise, perfect for longer stays despite my brief visit. Highly recommend for a memorable and comfortable stay.

Super friendly and responsive staff. Our room was great, definitely above expectations. The team offered us a place to store our luggage after we checked out and then a private space to change in before going to the airport. The location was perfect. An easy walk to Foggy Bottom metro & restaurants, Georgetown, The White House, Lincoln Memorial, The Kennedy Centre & more. We will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, clean and quiet room with plenty of space; large sofa and ample clothes storage. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very useful to have a kitchenette (which we did not know about from the booking information). Good location in a very pleasant, quiet area of Washington, a short walk from Foggy Bottom metro station - and an excellent (and very useful) Whole Goods supermarket.

Safe und lovely environment for a family trip, five minute walk from the metro station. Very friendly staff and very clean room. We got a complimentary upgrade which was very helpful as we were travelling with small kids.

Some rooms are starting to feel a bit tired. Despite this, the prices keep going up compared to other similar hotels. It just doesn't seem worth it anymore despite all the positives. I hope prices return to a more reasonable rate.

AC system is a bit old, therefore not friendly to the user, and it is turned on on a select basis according to the weather conditions and the management gives you promptly advise, which is environmentally friendly and ok but if for any case you need to cool a bit, it is not possible. Room with great view to the main street but quite noisy as long as I opened the windows in the morning. Windows lack of maintenance, they cannot be slide easily. Venetian blinds are not so easy to use. In overall the place has good maintenance, just minor details, which won't affect my decision to stay here again.

Location is excellent, walking distance from Metro Station on a very quiet street. Local and organic supermarkets nearby, plenty of places to eat and drink. Rooms are comfy and ample, amenities are really Good. Great WiFi coverage. Staff is exceptional and really nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Maybe a lighted and mirrored cabinet and chair in the bathroom. There was plenty of room for one it seemed.

Location was fine after I found it but it was difficult to locate. If I'm ever back in DC, I will definately make reservations here again. Jack and other staff were most accommodating.
