Outdated carpets, high price point for a pretty standard room.

Pool was lively and fun, room was comfortable, and front desk staff was friendly. Bike rentals were also great! I just wished there had been more bikes available.

Service at the pool was a bit slow (drinks and towels), and room was starting to look a bit shabby (stains, chipped paint, etc.). We were also awakened every night at 2 a.m. by the (presumably drunk) ELEPHANTS above us coming home and crashing into everything in their room, but that's no fault of the hotel's.

Great breakfast and happy hour in El Jefe. We loved the pool area and that there were enough chairs for everyone, plus more chairs throughout the property for hanging out. The decor is very cheerful and the entire hotel is very Instagrammable. If you are an early riser, you'll likely have the pool to yourself until 10 a.m. or so.

The water machine in the workout room was out of order, the dumbbell weights went from 5 lbs to 25 lbs. there were no 10, 15s or 20s. The weight machine was not working. There was nothing there to wipe down the equipment and no mats to lay on to do floor exercises. The workout room needs some attention. The restaurant was great. Taco night delicious.

The pool area was great. Pool was large and perfectly heated. Loved the room. Lots of space and bedding was comfortable. We did not eat breakfast there.

The resort fee is a total rip off. The weather was too cold to use the pool and one bicycle I borrowed had an all but flat tire making it almost impossible to pedal.

The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The place was well maintained considering the place was probably built in the 1960's.

Stayed for one day. Check-in was quick and staff was friendly at the front desk. Hotel is cute and has nice views, rooms are a little dated when you look into it.

AC wasn't working 100%. Staff dismissed us by saying that it was working. Being on the ground floor (which costs more) we found of our muggy and warm. Only on our last night that we insisted on another room. Reception accommodated and our new room was cooler and much cleaner than the one that we were originally assigned. Food quality at breakfast was okay. Not as good as lunch/dinner

Unfortunately the staff isn’t nice or helpful.. neither at arrival when we almost couldn’t pay with our French debit cards, we had to try 4 Mastercards before the 5th (visa) worked. We traveled for 10 days = 10 hotels, and Saguaro is the only one where we had this problem. Nor the day after when there were fire alarm state tests that couldn’t be stopped in our room for more than 1 hour in a row. We had to pack and almost got deaf, and absolutely no one cared despite several complaints.

The hotel is great, colorful & joyful. The rooms are really corrects for the price, it is more than « an old barely renovated motel » as I read in other comments. The restaurant is delicious.

the rooms feel a bit tired despite the effort to funky them up. the heavy purple carpet felt sticky and the decorations in the bathroom had gathered a thick layer of dust.

Decor needs updating, as looking tired. Restaurant also needs new furniture. No wipes and disinfectant to wipe machines down in gym. Did report to receptionist, but 24 hours later, still hadn’t been sorted.

No pets allowed in pool areas. This made it really awkward to leave the pup in the room. The rooms patio wasnt fenced in so pup wasnt able to enjoy the outdoors while we were out :(

The organisation of the place was a bit of a shambles. There was a wedding on the night we stayed which put a bit of a spanner in the works, it would have been nice to have been informed of this ahead of the stay or at least when we checked in. The pool bar shut early which meant that anyone using the pool had to go to the bar which passed through the Wedding ceremony set up.. Very awkward and not ideal when you're in swimwear having to go back and forth across the property. The whole wedding party crowded the bar and it was impossible to be served. They proceeded to be loud throughout the night. We avoided using the hotel facilities because of this, which luckily we had a car as it was a decent walk or taxi ride to anywhere with food. Most likely won't be staying here again just as I don't think the value for money was worth it.

Beautiful views of the pool and pool area is amazing with all the colourful rooms around the place. Really funky design elements and thoughtful touches in the room with the decor. Well stocked mini-bar too.

I was charged 8 dollars extra for pool expenses that I did not spend. I told about this during check out but it wasn’t addressed by reception worker. Drinks at the pool are very extensive!

We checked in on July 4th for 2 nights & it was insane. Check-in took 5 hrs - massive line ups & only one employee fielding everything. Not super clean around the pool area, hard to get service, extremely wasted people everywhere, no real clean-up happening. There was hair & sunglasses and all sorts of odd things in the pool. There was dog poop all over sidewalks and it was quite a mess everywhere. The ice machines were all broken for the duration of our stay, keys didn't work constantly & there was no way to get through to ANY of the numbers on the guest service phone (housekeeping, room service, front desk). I left a 'make-up room' sign that went without notice. Housekeeping did not come to our room. I even had to track down a housekeeper in the laundry room to get more toilet paper & Kleenex because it wasn't replenished. There was also a lot of room noise from the room above - I had to use earplugs to get any sleep. My takeaway is that this property is poorly managed & understaffed. I was excited to stay here, but was really disappointed with this property.

Property needed some updating. During the on season, the pricing of the room makes sense and if you’re just there to hang out by the pool then the looks of the property shouldn’t matter but the room got hot during the night (wouldn’t stay cool), signs around the pool stated differing open/close times and stated no outside drinks or food so you were forced to buy food/drinks from the pool bar and restaurant but not many options and kind of overpriced. All in all I think the rooms were a little overpriced considering the property needed some extreme updating. Bed was also very uncomfortable and pillows lacked comfort as well.

The property was quiet and calm, did not have to worry about neighbors being loud and the decor ideas were cute.
