Not a lot of dining options. I am vegetarian the restaurant had nothing to offer. Breakfast of some sort would have been good. While the immediate neighborhood felt safe, felt unsafe to venture out too much.

Very clean property, facilities were well maintained, people were very friendly and nice. Location is fantastic - walking distance to UChicago campus.

The restaurant! It was very well decorated and looked like a high quality place to eat, but the prices were very high. The service was awful. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes. It took 15 minutes just for them to bring us our drinks, during our whole time eating, all three tables around us never got bussed/cleaned. The food was absolutely phenomenal 10/10 recommend the pork belly if you’re willing to deal with the service.

The staff were very welcoming the second you walk through the front door. They even asked if we had a preference of floor/view point for our room. The rooms were perfect for a couple. Beautiful view. My favorite was the walk in shower. Very clean and didn’t have any over powering smells of cleaning supplies or air fresheners.

One downside was service at hotel restaurant. Went for Sunday breakfast/brunch. Food was tasty and servers were friendly, but service was extremely slow. Hoping they can improve on that.

The room, the bed, the linens were all fantastic! Wonderfully quiet hotel and surrounding area; excellent place for a weekend visit with our UChicago student. Staff were very friendly and responsive. Will definitely stay again.

I left my earplugs in the room on the last day and the staff was unable to retrieve them. They tried though! Some staff was just lovely and superhelpful. Others - a lady at my checkout - not so much! Also, why absolutely no garbage cans outside or in the lobby? Weird.

The location at the university is very good. The rooms are big and bright. The beds comfy.

I honestly cannot think of anything.

The location, amenities, design, cleanliness, staff professionalism and warmth, all contributed to a great second stay. I will be back. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, well-designed, and with beautiful views of the University of Chicago campus and environs. I enjoyed the morning coffee in the lobby area, reading the newspaper and people watching.

Would've been nice if it included breakfast for the cost of the room. Since it was cold outside the room temp was fine. But it did get warm in the evening and we were not able to adjust the temperature in the room. Also their was no fridge in the room. When I called about it they said they would bring one up. At the point it would take so long for it to cool that it seemed like a waste of time. Maybe they should let you know that you need to request a fridge when you are making a reservation so it is set up when you arrive.

Not only was the location great but the staff was AMAZING! Location was perfect. Close to the University of Chicago and the museum. Great places to eat at near by. The hotel restaurant was a nice option after a long day spent in the city.

Maybe a touch too minimal. I would have appreciated a coffee maker or a mini fridge/mini bar… something more than a small bottle of water. The breakfast (an additional expense) was okay but the fruit tasted like someone had used the same knife on an onion beforehand, and the toast was chargrilled- greasy and black. Please just toast bread like they did in the olden days! It doesn’t need to taste like BBQ

I was in the room directly above the gym. I could hear everything as if it were in my room. Couldn’t regulate the room temperature.. had to open the window to get any circulating air.

The only thing missing in this space is a humidor and cigar lounge.

I love the studious spaces & atmosphere throughput the building. I wouldn’t consider myself a bibliophile, but it’s the perfect space for one!

Dinner and breakfast are unique and high quality Tomika at the front desk was a great representative of the welcoming atmosphere of this property and a problem solver April was an excellent waitress and the overall experience was a reflection of the management of the property

The location was perfect for our visit to the University of Chicago. We walked out the door and onto the campus. Breakfast was delicious. Generous portions and very tasty. I was just dreaming of the yogurt parfait. The staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating.

Loved everything except the adjacent restaurant/pub: beautiful decor like hotel but our food was odd and expensive. I’d try it again because of location and ambience but would not order the pot pie or shepherds pie. Neither were recognizable as named and both over salted. That and 2 beers was a $50 tab.

It was really beautiful, modern, clean lines and great colors and peaceful. So many details. Location is 2blocks from UChicago Hospital.
