4th floor is really a tough hike. Decor was not my style. Bar food was pretty poor. View from room not as good as hoped.

My only criticism is that the rooms were quiet small especially the queen w/ocean view didn’t warrant the extra expense.

Location was great ! Great to have outside seating areas readily available. Food and drinks were wonderful. Comfortable sitting areas inside as well. Staff extremely customer focused and accommodating.

Didn't know/or remember that room access at BIBH was stairs only, but it was ok for us. There weren't a ton of restaurants and bars open, but we do understand that we came in the off season.

We absolutely fell in love with Block Island! Last year we visited for 1 day, this year we added overnight; next year we would like to add another day. We loved renting bikes to explore the island!

The hotel pool had a ring of mold around the whole pool. The price was excessive I thought.

Our room was very small, no chair or desk/table. Restaurant for breakfast was not operating. Other lark properties have provided tapas like breakfast choices.

Closeness to downtown, and the beach with chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant was good.

We were disappointed to find out upon check in that the pool was out of service for maintenance. We believe this should have been noted when booking or prior to check on etc. it was a bit of an inconvenience for us as we only stayed one night and would have enjoyed it.

I didn’t like that we were not in the main hotel building on the water. I don’t remember reading anything about the separate location down the street. I would’ve liked to known that upfront.

The noise in the morning! Our first morning, a family across the hall was continuously allowing their door to slam shut and talking freely throughout the hallway before 8am. That was the worst part of the trip. There was also never enough space at the beach for us to get lounge chairs or to even set up. We walked about a mile down for room. A particular bartender could have been much friendlier. Smiling is a bonus. The pricing is leaps and bounds more expensive than any other stay in the island we’ve done and have been coming for over 15 years.

Location was phenomenal. We walked and bikes everywhere and did not take a single taxi.the space to sit and lounge in the front and back of the hotel was great. There was always room for the 5 of us.

Great design and decor. When the room was not ready due to prior day being 4th of July the staff was very helpful and accommodating, they gave food passes for restaurant and allowed us to use the pool

Housekeeping staff were slow to respond to requests..... room was still not ready at 5 for shower and dinner.

Loved the location! Easy access from the ferry, shopping and direct access to the beach. Restaurant was also very good. We enjoyed the back porch bar and the staff provided umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach. Our room was extremely small but had a beautiful view and the air conditioning was great as it was very warm and humid. Bathroom shower and sink etc also very small.

There’s nothing bad to say. I am grateful I wasn’t on the second floor of the Gables property; the stairs looked terrifying!

King room is all of 10’x10’ with a tiny bathroom. I was expecting a bigger room at $750 a night. We are going to try the National next time, looks like a better value and its right across the street.

Location is perfect. Food, beach, views and atmosphere were all great. Decor and vibes are very beach house soho.

The coffee offered 8 - 11 am was nice but not that good. And the restaurant is not as good as it used to be. But, again, plenty of other places to eat.

No breakfast at the hotel but great options near by.
