Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomPillows were a bit soft There was a loud clicking noise during the night (couldn't figure out where it came from) Penthouse on the 10th floor can only be accessed via lift up to 9th floor then one floor to climb via stairs (but given the upgrade we were given we didn't care) A kettle in the room would be nice!
When we arrived we were upgraded from a bungalow to a penthouse on the 10th floor! That was a great surprise. Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, great rooftop terrace. Staff were super friendly and went the extra mile to assist us (they kept our luggage for free for several hours during the afternoon before our flight and offered us towels to go to the beach during this time if we wanted). The bar in the hotel serves delicious food.

SingaporeOur suite albeit an upgrade was facing the multi-storey carpark... which we had to close our curtain the entire stay for privacy issue. It will be great that the hotel can provide a laundromat for the guests. More resort activities (e.g. yoga / meditation classes) be provided, as we had previously stayed in Sheraton Waikiki Beach which had jointly organized activities with a few other hotels in the area.
Location is good as I considered it the central Waikiki. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe room was pretty small, with no desk or space for a computer. Also, our balcony looked over into what was essentially a trash pile. Not the hotel's fault, but still not great.
Location was great, close to some nice restaurants and bars but off the main street which is very busy and loud. The vibe of the hotel is very nice and laid back, with great spaces to relax. Free coffee was a plus!

My god this place is QUAINT. It’s so quiet compared to the mega resorts. The vibes and atmosphere are unmatched. Hotel staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I was worried about the barking at a dog friendly hotel but the one time our neighbor’s dog barked for a while, we called the desk and they immediately took care of it. I’ll never stay anywhere else in Honolulu.

The location was great and staff accommodated our request to have a quiet room. Luggage could be stored till we finally left in the afternoon. Great live music and filtered tap water for free. Coffee in the morning for free too.
