How clean and easy the checking in and rooms big and fancy

I’m very sensitive to smells as in perfume and candles and incense and when I checked into my room there was an overwhelming smell of an air freshener I found plugged into a wall outlet. I’m not sure if they’re trying to hide something or that’s something they think people want? Either way it was to me anyways overwhelming and I came close to checking out. The curtains are very outdated and blocked the wall air conditioner.

It had some odd smells. The lobby smelt strange at the bathroom in the room smelled like mildew. Some of the desk staff was eh, but others were super friendly like the young man who was there when we checked out

The property is really close to the beach and restaurants - it was a fine place to stay for its price and for only staying 2 nights, but I likely would not choose it again mainly because the room is super tiny (but again, you get what you pay for). The recent reviews being posted by spring breakers had us worried, but it truly turned out to be a fine place and the influx of bad reviews are probably just a group of friends who caused trouble for themselves

Room was very small but adequate for a 1 night stay before we left on cruise the next day.

The room was mostly clean, but there were significant signs of deterioration in the bathroom and the frames of the doors. There were also a few bugs in the room, not to a disturbing degree, but it was a bit off-putting.

The pools onsite were great. The room was spacious and had well-functioning appliances. The staff was very helpful and held my bags as I arrived early. They also helped me find a bathroom to change upon arrival and provided me with tips for local restaurants.

The room although was cute could def use some updates, closet doors at the bottom were chipped off, bottom of bed looked rusty and not the cleanest.

The room decor is welcoming and cute and clean, the pool was nice although we didn’t use it much and the staff were very nice!

Local restaurants a bit pricey and loud, Hard to get early breakfast. But this comes with the beach location. Hard to get basic groceries in walking distance. Hotel has two addresses, one (Bayshore) on booking.com, one (Birch) on Google.; confused taxis.

Convenient location, very helpful staff, towels and chairs loaned for beach, pools not busy, close to restaurants etc. in walking distance. Also, they stored luggage and provided room early as we arrived from a cruise.

The room was very bare and lacked any form of comfort with the exception of the bed.

At the time of booking I read that Fortuna offers free parking this was one of the reasons why I selected it however at the time of arrival I was told that parking had a nightly fee... not a big deal but I felt cheated

The staff on November 6th at 1030 was unavailable. The lobby was locked. She looked surprised I was checking out. No one says hello as you walk past. The person sweeping the pool area was the only person who spoke to us. November 5th everyone was nice, explained everything, etc.

Convenient location. Room was nice size. First floor is best if you can't make the stairs. The staff on November 5th was great. Very helpful, explained everything. We arrived early and they did their best to accommodate.

I would suggest to repair and refresh the property, 9 years a ago the colors, the decoration , the quality of the rooms were exceptional, now you can tell that is old, but clean and convenient distance from the beach

Location! Walking distance to beach and many restaurants! Quite small boutique hotel. This was our 4th or 5th stay :-) We'll be back!! Parking for 1 vehicle included in stay.
