Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesYou had to call a day in advance for clean sheets. I found a couple of stains on the covers. Every time I go to any hotel, I bring all my cleaning supplies, including Lysol spray because in situations like this one, I’ll be okay. Good thing I had an extra blanket from home!

United Statesthe breakfast was limited and was simply pastries and hot coffee/tea BUT you can get room service hot breakfast if you call but for a price.
I loved the architecture of the hotel, the staff was beyond kind, accommodating, and the location was great! Its 30 mins Uber/lyft from The Wharf, only a 9 minute drive to most of the tourist sites to see, and it is right next to the NATS stadium. Quiet, safe location, and amazing rooftop bar! Will stay again if I’m DC and will be recommending.

Great location for our trip. The morning coffee was tasty and the room/bathroom was lovely. The restaurant graciously let us in a half and hour before their opening for drinks and appetizers.

United StatesHATED no shower door. water goes everywhere and it’s cold while you shower. Housekeeping needs to come everyday, not just on request. Covid is over, let’s move on. and we all know it’s just management being cheap. Towels are tiny.

United StatesValet was backed up upon arrival and there was no one directing the traffic. One guest jumped the queue extending the wait of others who were rule followers. No attention to detail. The tables had not been wiped down, no napkins at the bar. These are little things, but when you are paying for a high end hotel, you expect a certain standard.
The location was perfect for our needs. The elevators made me feel safe.

ItalyI had mistakenly left my dental retainers in the bathroom and I tried to contact the hotel by phone but there was never any answer. I tried several numbers to get in contact somehow with them but to no avail. I wrote messages via booking.com and also wrote an email but again no response. I finally was directed to a site for lost and found claims. After I filed the claim, they responded that they did not find it. I was very disappointed in not being able to communicate with them directly right away. No one ever answered.
