I feel like the property is starting to show age and needs a bit of TLC. The sofas are showing where and the staff seems to lag and getting things tidied up around the great rooms where the fireplaces are located. The sink in my bathroom did not drain and my phone was missing a mouthpiece so when I tried calling the desk to get some assistance, they could not hear me speak

Timberline is a outstanding property with regards to location. Easy access from Portland and great roads that get you there safely. The view is unbeatable, and the architecture is so unique.

Checkin was made more difficult by poor training of the staff. Getting reservations to the restaurant was very hard. It’s noisy and the beds are creaky and you can hear everything in the hallways in the room next to you room above you.

This is an historic lodge and very old. The space is wonderful, but the staff was hit or miss. You stay here for the skiing not for the service. Some of the staff was amazing so not so.. it’s expensive but it’s the only place on the mountain. :)

Limited amenities in the rooms, a small computer screen for a tv? No coffee maker, and I didn’t understand war plugs being issued until the room above me flushed the toilet. I get that it’s an old historic hotel, but for what they are charging they need to do way better. The breakfast buffet was disappointing to say the least, for $30 I would have expected food not to be cold, and empty items to be replenished.

Bathroom doesn't have much storage, but was expected, given the age of the hotel. Our room did get fairly hot, but we also knew it didn't have A/C.

Easy check in, room well appointed, and clean. Large shower with plenty of hot water. Nice staff.

Top bunk bed needs a ladder, not just the thin structural boards. Wait staff at Rams Head seemed burnt/fatigued (understandable).

Trails need to be better marked around the lodge. Food prices are very high, so we ate elsewhere. Floors seemed dirty. Better lighting is needed for reading in bed.

No AC and poor ventilation is a little tough on a hot summer's night. Walls are very thin... could easily hear the guy snoring next door.

Small queen bed room with no chairs, no horizontal desk surface (vintage foldout desk not flat). Tiny BR sink - your feet and floor get splashed. Front desk charged extra $50 check-in-early at 1pm fee even though we declined it when initially booking online and arrived after 2:30. At checkout, this was discovered to be a hotel clerical error and was corrected. Always check printed receipt before leaving.

Historic landmark well maintained. Proximity to hiking. Quiet hours 10pm-9am. Magnificent views.

We got stuck in the snow at the lodge entrance with my toddler and when we called the front desk to ask for help, the clerk answer was we are a hotel not a towing company. He would not even give me a phone number to call for help. So it was a very disappointing start to our trip

The property is beautiful and skiing is very convenient since everything is very close

the food. it’s either so fancy it’s overpriced. there are not many vegetable or salad options. tired of eating fried food and also why not have a coffee stand or cart or more “healthy” food items at a more reasonable cost. it’s absurd that the one breakfast option at the lodge is a $25 buffet. years ago it was much different and more affordable.

The he historic setting the beautiful the caring staff and awesome bedding!
