Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

I am not sure if this is a new change in policy but if so maybe upon checkin the front desk should ask if you’d like the service or not. Usually I wouldn’t mind if they skipped over our room, but I think the stay would have been better if my towels were replenished and garbage thrown out considering the price I paid to stay at the nicer hotel.
This was the nicest hotel to choose from in Cleveland. Location is great, fast food near by as well as a shopping strip.Not a far drive to/from Chattanooga. The rooms were clean, plenty of space.

United StatesThe sofa is uncomfortable and the mattress is not super comfortable either. Our bed sheets were not clean, but overall this is the best hotel we have stayed in in Cleveland.
The 1 br king suite was HUGE, and an awesome layout. Plenty of space and the kitchen is perfect. Bed pillows were comfy. Lighting was nice overall with plenty of lamps. Smart TVs were good. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have had in a long time. Coffee pods/ Keurig in the rooms were great and coffee tasted good!
