Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesCabana Bar had limited offferings, no frozen drinks or wine. We ate breakfast at the poolside restaraunt and the food was just ok. The room right next to the restaurant (right in front if the steps to the pool) had a gentleman chain smoking on his patio. Smoke blowing into our table during breakfast, we left.
Good location and the room was great. Beach cabanas were fantastic and pool bar and staff was great.

United StatesTo be honest, I thought it was a little pricey to stay there. If you are just going for the beach like we did, and not going to take advantage of the amenities, you can get a better deal somewhere else. But if you have small kids and are going to be using all of those things, I guess it would make sense.
The location of the property is excellent, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. One of those beachy souvenir stores and A 7-Eleven is right across the street for drinks and snacks. The rum fish resort is part of the tradewinds group so you get access to all resort buildings for activities and amenities. After a quick walk-through, I discovered that I did prefer rum fish, it was less crowded than the island grand, which is a much bigger building. They give you a weekly schedule when you check in so you know what’s going on, we only did the touch tank experience and the big beach slide, both were fun, beside that we spent our entire days on the beach,, but it seemed like it would be good for kids lots to do.

United StatesWe have been going to this resort for years and one big thing I miss is the designated adult pool and hot tub areas. I get this is geared towards families however couples have no where now to escape kids. The food also is lacking, there are several places to eat but it’s been under construction forever and that’s taking away some of the options. The menus also don’t have a great variety. We ended up eating off site a lot more the last couple stays.
There is a lot to do for entertainment. The beach is beautiful. The resort is nicely kept and overall pretty clean.

United StatesThe room setup is strange, you walk into the bedroom when you first enter, then a small living room then balcony. It felt cramped with two children with us. The pool was small compared to the sister resort down the street. Not many amenities for children to do.
On the beach. Helpful staff who always had a smile on their faces.Great location near many restaurants. Perfect beach view of the sunsets.

United StatesThe main restaurant needs some work, our service was slow, had to wait for drinks, and were told we couldn't move a chair when we said we had 9 in our reservation. but other than that, it was fine. Room are large and roomy, however they need updating, bathrooms are a little beat up from all the traffic as well as furniture, however, we weren't in the room very much as we were on the beach have fun!
OMG!!! 5 Stars for the Breakfast and staff!! My family ate all our breakfast meals at the cafe, hostess's, Morgan, Denise (sorry those were the only names I could remember who waited on us) and all the other staff were EXCEPTIONALl!! Food EXCELLENT! Coffee-OUTSTANDING! We were very impressed as we have been coming down to St Pete beach for over 10 years and this was the first time staying at Rum Fish. Will definitely book again!

United StatesThe beach was beautiful and we loved that cabanas are included in the resort fee! Since we booked with booking.com we got a free upgrade to a Gulf view room and the glass of champagne at check in was greatly appreciated. Victor was so nice and brought a gift for the birthday girl in our group after passing through our little party and Denise at the Gulfside Grill was attentive and just as nice as she could be! My skillet meal was delicious. The room was spacious, clean and the temperature went down to 65 degrees which was great after a long day at the beach. I usually head to the east coast but will definitely go back to Rumfish!

United StatesI didn’t appreciate the resort getting rid of both gift shops, rerouting the parking lot literally over night mid trip, and having huge private events set up across the resort that took away from everyone else’s guest experience. We were notified by the resort of the private event from 4/17-5/3 by email AFTER the free cancelation date. This resort was not cheap, and I was made to feel like a second class customer because I was not part of the “private” group that reserved certain areas of the resort. Housekeeping didn’t show up for 3 days, and when they did it would be after 4pm when we were already back to the room and about to get ready for dinner.
Absolutely beautiful location on st Pete beach, close to plenty of restaurants and beach bars.

United StatesEverything was great, parking was a little cramped but other than that, nothing we didn’t like.
We liked all the activities they offered and most definitely the location! The private beach access was very nice and there were a lot of other dining options within walking distance. Having access to the other resorts was fun too!

United StatesThey were working on moving things for a Passover event so some things were closed when we were there
Upon arrival, the gentleman checking us in went above and beyond without us even asking and upgraded our room to an oceanfront room. I booked the standard room and that wasn’t ready upon arrival. He went out of his way to ask the boss if it was ok if he upgraded to an oceanfront room that was ready at no extra charge. We are thankful for him and his kind act because the view was astonishing!

United StatesThe Lobby is outdated and disappointing when you arrive. The Starbucks was disappointing - one day there were no napkins. And the selection was minimal
We liked our room - a bedroom and a living room with balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. We could be in our room and feel like we were at a party with the music from the bar. We liked the cabanas and Horatio was great! We loved the happy hour at the Rumfish Grille.
