How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The area. Although it was close to where I needed to be, the area was sort of run down and the food choices were very limited unless you wanted delivery.
Staff was very nice and accommodating and the front desk remembered my name.

Driving into the property at night was exceptionally dark. Parking lot needs more night light.
The price was great for the room. All amenities did work. The bed covering was clean, and the bed was not too soft and not too firm.

I'm a lot.
No breakfast, been here 9 times now no problems until atil this time. The owner accused us of smoking pot in the room. First off my lady likes burning encents as always. Been no problems. Plus I have several state license plus my women is with the FBI so there's no pot smoking going on. People like that should not accuse someone unless you can prove it. He , the owner has ask personal questions. Way against the law. We will never stay there again. Spend 9 trips there and even told last time we left room messey... Let's see sleep in beds, take showers,. Guess we were supposed to just stand in one spot all night. People need to be warned. Stay away!!!

The employees were super rude and absolutely offensive. They had agreed to allow my two dogs to stay in the room. Then the next day they were angry told me they were keeping $10 out of the deposit for me. Deceiving them on how large my dog was. The status of the room was disgusting. There was a half rotted Apple or some type of fruit sitting on the top of the rack where you hang your clothes, feces were still on the toilet seat, I found a hard plastic cup right where the wall and the bed met. I truly believe that the room wasn't even serviced prior to me checking in and that maybe the trash was pulled and the beds were made. But that was absolutely the only thing that was done and it was apparent that the sheets have been used because they were still dirty and there was hair underneath the comforter. I literally was rushed to leave because they were calling me before checkout to remind me the checkout time was super grumpy w/me for being just 3 mins late checking out. I turned my key in at 11:03. The quality of the customer service and hospitality was horrendous and I literally am going to be sure to warn anybody who needs to get a hotel to not go anywhere near that place because they are rude, offensive. Not to mention, they charged a pet fee when my pet is an emotional support animal with all the proper paperwork to prove his status as an ESA. They told me that they didn't even have to allow my dog to stay because he was only an emotional support animal and not a service animal. So after they checked the room for any possible damages and had collected the very generous tip I had left inside the room, I then returned to the lobby to receive my deposit for the room and what I did received had me leaving that awful place completely upset & crying. The guy came to the window absolutely livid all while accusing me of knowingly deceiving them & that my dogs were larger than 40 lbs. I'm still not altogether sure how much they weigh.
There was absolutely not one thing that was positive or that I would even be able to say that I enjoyed during the stay there at travel inn.

My night was ruined b/c of the guys attitude towards me at the front desk! 😒 He was extremely condescending & I felt like I'd already done something wrong before we even checked in. Oddly enough the next day he was friendly outside & offered us more towels. So...besides him being rude the place wasn't that bad - except for the bath towel & floor was already wet when got there

Sketchy location, “owner” or manager was pleasant at check-in however seemed quite irritated during checkout. Wondered if I was even speaking to the same person.
