Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Traveling as a solo lady , I was a little bit worried when I read the reviews for this hotel , but now after staying there for 2 nights , I can say That what I experienced was totally different from what I read before my trip , first at all , the hotel is cheap so do not expected to have a last design furniture , but my room had everything’s that I needed , it was clean , the bed was comfortable , the shower water was as hot as needed , the TV worked fine, the heat was perfectly working , and besides it has a big refrigerator and a microwave, the internet was perfectly strong , the center of Rutland was 20 minutes by foot or if you do not have car you can take the bus in any direction , so if I travel again to Rutland I would stay in travel inn. again with no doubts…..

United StatesThe dried up vomit on the bed skirt. The pubic hair in the other bed. The dingy sheets that really looked like they hadn't been washed. The whole room slanted towards the middle so both beds were ridiculously uncomfortable. The tub had caulk smeared all over it like it was done by a 10 year old who had no idea what they were doing. The place needs to be raized.

Nice fridge, great shower, clean floor, appliances and bathroom. Clean sheets. Overall, place was clean.

United StatesIt’s just your run-of-the-mill budget motel. Some of the guests were sitting outside of their room having loud unsavory conversations which doesn’t help the general atmosphere.
I was able to park in front of my room but hidden from the street. Seemed more secure.
