Nothing, it was perfect!

Great bungalow, amazing atmosphere, perfect location for Pahoa and very cozy for someone alone or a couple. The outside of the room is very nice for breakfast or for meditating. The kitchen has everything. There were some fruits on my arrival. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped.

Location and the stars at night. It was quiet and good for couples to come together. Had everything you would need to live comfortably. The screened in sitting area was a highlight as well as the outside shower!

What a magical little piece of tropical zen ocean oasis, in an eclectic and vibrant area of Hawai'i. Abbie was so welcoming and helpful, and provided lots of info on local happenings and spots to check out. It was divine to stay in such a calm, clean, eco-conscious piece of heaven on earth. I am veeery grateful, for my restful and nourishing time at Abbie's persunal Eden! Mahalo nui loa~ :) ♡

A bit farther away from town than I was expecting but that was a big part of the charm of this location. Difficult to find in the dark because they aren't allowed lighting. An easy problem to solve if I had copied the directions down(no cell service in the area)

Addies’s zen bungalow provided lots of privacy with beautiful plant life between lots in a well spaced out subdivision that was close to the ocean and other beautiful sites. Addie provided information about local spots/ activities to explore as well as a great guide book which showed lots of out-of-the way stops. There was a good assortment of cooking appliances, comfortable inside bathroom as well as outside shower, and comfortable bed.. The screen porch provided a lovely sitting area too and loved the bird/frog sounds of nature. Addie was very responsive to all my emails and provided pertinent preliminary information as well as great directions to her bungalow. She even checked with me a couple times to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.

This place is a little paradise and Abbie the host is adorable, flexible and very helpful! We loved being able to relax and have breakfast in the mornings in the veranda, which is protected by a mosquito net. This gem is surrounded by lush green Nature and is quiet and very peaceful. Very well furnished - had everything we needed. Hope to be back one day!

Nothing - it was perfect.

A beautiful bungalow in a quiet street in Pahoa. Perfect for a solo or couple to relax and recharge. I felt extremely safe, and Abbie was a very welcoming and kind host. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette and bathroom had everything I needed, and the place was well stocked and clean. The lanai was my favourite and I spent many hours reading and relaxing out there.

Beautiful little ohana in a quiet residential neighborhood. Great place to be alone with your partner. This is the funky side of the Big Island and we loved it for that reason.

it was very cute, had everything that was needed, and close to destinations we were seeking. I’ll definitely book again. Abbie was a great host that left Fresh garden fruit for us and it was amazing.

I probably made a mistake by booking this bed and breakfast. By reading the enthusiastic reviews and not knowing the area, I thought this was a nice, authentic spot where to rest while visiting Hilo, Volcano, Green and Black sand beach. It turned out just to be an inconvenience for how secluded it was. You will be more than one hour away from everything and the road is a challenging one. I thought Pahoa was close, but it was not. Plus it’s not worthy visiting. The host is kind, but we didn’t feel very welcomed. I believe this place makes sense if you want to be out of the world and enjoy the closest beach (you need a car to reach it). We went to the feast on Wednesday. Remember that You need cash to eat and to get in. No functioning ATM or credit cards accepted. The apt could use a deep cleaning, especially the fridge…One night to experience this peculiar community is probably worthy… or longer if you want to get massages and yoga classes… it’s just not a strategic spot.

Nice peaceful porch. The host left many informations about the activities in the area and a nice book to help you to explore the island.
