How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no wifi which made working tough. There were also basically no hooks for hanging towels in the entire room which was strange.
Property was very close to where I needed to be which was great. The room was spacious and pretty comfortable.

There were some ants in the bathroom sink and counter but it wasn't a big deal. I get that it happens sometimes. Other from that everything was clean.
Didn't know what to expect but the staff was nice, Room was clean and comfortable. Not a luxury hotel. You get what you pay for. I would definitely stay there again.

Just a low cost Motel close to what we needed in Los Angeles. One mile from Crypto arena Free parking but not a great area. Rooms are clean and it's a money saver. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

The area can be a little sketchy but it’s walkable to a metro stop
Clean, tidy rooms. Car parking. Room had everything you needed except an iron but didn’t check if I could borrow one.

The one-person staff should not delay so much in responding to phone and in-person inquiries and requests. The front desk should not be left alone for so long periods. Guests have accommodation needs, requests and inquiries, and they should be satisfied in a reasonable amount of time for them to feel they are being taken care of in a promptly and professional manner.

For my entire stay internet was not working. I stayed for 4 nights, on first day they assured it will be available but neither room phone service and wifi was working for my entire stay.

Internet was down the entire three day stay, despite the staff saying it'd be fixed soon when we arrived. There was also no breakfast provided even though it said so on the website.

Parking lot tight just like all of L.A. Our car got bumped into during the 4 days of our stay. Will rent a car next time. The city needs TLC, has homeless and trash on the streets.
The room was clean and attractively updated. Staff were friendly.

There was no microwave in the room and it smelt like bleach I think they barely cleaned our room right before we arrived because the cleaning cart was right outside of our door with nobody in sight

They need to update the room furniture and to repaint the rooms.The room was downstairs, and we could hear every move from the people in the room above us. I am not sure if they can fix this problem since it looks more like a building structural problem.
The room is clean but the furniture is outdated. It does provide FREE parking which is good considering how expensive parking can be in LA. There was no breakfast included but again we didn't expect a breakfast considering the inexpensive price we paid per night. The location is OK, close to downtown LA but as everything in downtown LA is not too clean. If you are not used to the city life, it can be depressing and smelly. Again, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a clean but inexpensive place to sleep, it is good.

Only thing was that we couldn’t get the tv to connect with the cable. We tried to get in on, but failed to do so, went to ask the front desk for assistance, since there was no phone, told us what we needed to do, tried again, failed. Went back thinking the remote may have needed new batteries, nope didn’t work either. Made sure to advise office agent about it. She asked if the night agent went to help fixed it, we said no, that wasn’t an option given to us. So basically we had to entertain ourselves the old fashion way….
