the rooms are getting old... The bathroom sink was half way clogged. The bathtub plug would not work. Internet was soooo slow and dropping all the time, that I ended up abandoning it all together, just using my phone for hotspot.

I have been staying at this hotel for a loooong time - when it was still under the old name and management. Not much changed. The location is excellent - right next to Stater Brothers store (which is very conventient). The room was clean (not much of a view, but we came back only to shower and sleep, spending all day outdoors). I was quite impressed with the quality of the towels: white, fluffy. Excellent shower pressure and large bathroom. The room had fridge/microwave (uber convenient when you travel with kids). Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking.

Towels very thin, only 2 towels in room. Would have been nice to have a couple extra. Bed was very lumpy. Bed shirt was stained. Didnt see that until the day we left

My only complaint is that there was only one thin curtain for the window so the street light was shining brightly in our room all night. A thicker curtain or a double curtain would have been wonderful..

It’s dated for sure. The bedding is a very low thread count so I slept with a long sleeve shirt on and wrapped a t shirt around my pillow. Seriously it was that rough, never had to do that anywhere else.

I loved the location, it’s perfect for Joshua Tree day trips. There’s grocery stores nearby and the staff is really nice.

Other reviewers mentioned this but the soundproofing is practically nonexistent. We could hear TVs, conversations, and other sounds while walking down the hallway to our room. The person next to us was sick and we could hear him coughing all night long. It almost sounded like he was in our room! I understand that you'll hear noise from your neighbors while staying in a communal place but the lack of soundproofing allowed us to hear every little sound.

The check-in process was quick and the person who handled it was friendly and professional. Like other reviewers said, you have to go to the inn next door to check in. The location is also great. It's across from a grocery store and there's many restaurants and gas stations located nearby. It's about a 10 minute drive to Joshua Tree National Park. Our room was clean and relatively spacious.
