Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere is nothing one wouldn't love about this place.
In the morning our host Amy prepared exceptional breakfast with a hint of the local Amish culture. The B&B is a beautiful place, I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend some time in the area.

United StatesI actually don't have any complaints. However, I guess I assumed breakfast would include meat such as bacon and/or sausage and other items but we had two cupcake size quiches with a tomato garnish, a medium bowl of baked oatmeal with fruit that was really good, a fruit square with icing and/or a cup of fresh fruit option for low-sugar patrons. It was a healthy breakfast. They will try to accommodate if you have a diet restriction, just ask. The breakfast was smaller than what I am used to, but for the B&B stay and breakfast, the price was sufficient.
The Twin Pine in my opinion is a very upscale and beautiful gem in Lancaster. It's a lovely B&B and I would highly recommend it. The attendant that greeted us was very courteous and gave us a small tour of the B&B which was very well kept, clean, and in a quiet location! We had a fireplace which provided heat for the whole room. There was cable and even a DVD! They also had a spa which we didn't have a chance to use since we only stayed one day but the stand-up shower was a delight! The room we had was so clean and they even have in the common areas a pool table, a screen TV with a game console, free snacks, sodas, waters, teas and coffee! Stores are in close proximity, shopping and convenience stores about 10 minutes away. Private entrances to rooms. I reiterate, it is so quiet, clean, and reserved. The owner (a lady), I believe served a small breakfast in a cute little dining area to a small group and she was so polite. There is also an option to serve patrons breakfast in their rooms upon check-in. I love that no smoking is allowed in the B&B and I didn't smell any smoke outside. We will definitely be back! Also, we were told they provide discount tickets if you call and want to see a Sight & Sound production in Lancaster while staying at their B&B. I would also recommend the Log & Cabin Restaurant for those looking for a quiet, romantic evening with their spouse. It's about 15 minutes away, off the grid a bit but very good food for the price.

United StatesNo door on the bathroom. So if you are a couple who needs a little privacy when using the bathroom this is an issue. Thankfully there was a private restroom by the game room for those moments!
Very quiet unlike staying at a hotel. Beautiful and clean! The breakfast was delicious, prompt, hot, and plentiful! Hardly knew the staff was there and was very private. We woke up Sunday morning to someone playing Amazing Grace on the grand piano in the common area. It was lovely! The staff were extremely kind.

United StatesWould like breakfast a little earlier, they offer in-room at 8 am and in the dining area at 9 am. The shower is a little small and the water pressure is low. The bathroom light can shine through the windows on the wall that separates the bathroom and bedroom.
The breakfast was wonderful and yummy. Brenda is a great cook. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The bathroom was a great size, his and her sinks. Located is a very quite location with beautiful landscape.

We loved everything about this property. The location was wonderful if you're exploring the greater Lancaster area. Our suite was immaculate, cozy, and beautiful, with access to a deck that overlooked gardens and well-manicured farms. The staff was truly interested in making our stay comfortable. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful. It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return.
