The location is good, there are amazing food places around the corner and the BART is right there. I felt safe enough in the evenings. The staff was very friendly. Surprisingly I never had to wait to use the restroom or the shower

I got what I expected.

Modest but sufficient accommodation for those who wish just overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff. The location was quite ok. Metro station, buses, and public bike station are just around the corner, and a couple of shops and restaurants are nearby (I recommend the one to the left when leaving the hotel), Even if the hotel claims they do not provide parking there is a paid one on the back of the hotel (30 USD per 24hrs)

The bathroom was outside the room but I’m glad it’s clean and no smell only it’s uncomfortable to go out on the room walk the hallway to the bathroom

The public transport is very accessible The staff are friendly and helpful 😀

Dirty air vents. Only two toilets and 1 shower per floor. Room gets very warm. No elevator for those with lots of luggage or heavy luggage. Literally just a room with a bed and TV. Although theres a local ethnic supermarket across the road there are no convenient stores nearby so late night snacking won't happen unless you plan ahead. Noise from other guests through the air vents make it seem like they are just outside your room.

Staff were nice. Only two toilets and 1 shower to share between the rooms on each floor was a bit disappointing. Overall it was decent for the price. But it really is 2 stars. Would have rather had a fridge instead of the TV. Rooms do get warm and there is no AC. Noise from other guests travel through the air vents (which were in desperate need of a clean tho the rest of the room was fine). Window works OK for fresh air but a bit fiddly to keep open as the mechanism was very old. There was however a sink in the room so you didn't have to leave your room to brush your teeth. It was also super close to the train station.

Toilets being in a separate room to the shower is not ideal and the beds might be a bit small if you're on the larger side. There are lots of stairs, so be warned if you have a bad knee or difficulty moving.

Amazing value for money in the perfect neighbourhood if you want night life in San Francisco. The property has easy access to multiple bus and subway lines and a lot of bars, cubs and restaurants at a walking distance.

The hotel is basic, providing all the essentials for a short stay. It offers a functional shower, a restroom, a comfortable bed, and some form of entertainment through a TV. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. There is no refrigerator in the room, which can be inconvenient if you plan to store perishables and there is no air conditioning, although this wasn't a problem during my visit as the weather was pleasant. One of the pleasant surprises during my stay was the cleanliness of the hotel. Despite its tired and unappealing appearance, the rooms were very clean.

I recently stayed at a hotel that was described as a not-so-safe area of the city. While the neighborhood might raise some concerns, the hotel itself managed to offer a decent experience, thanks to its convenient location and cleanliness. The hotel's host played a significant role in my overall experience. Provided insights not only made me feel safer but also enhanced my appreciation for the hotel's location.

Exit area for nearby Bart very active with people UTI from mid morning to late at night with loud music. Numerous pop up stalls, homeless people and groups of people up and down Mission Street. Hotel was bare bones, which was expected but rooms were hot and needed window to be open, so highly advise bringing ear plugs to block out music from the public/nearby club and various street racing.

The staff were friendly and honest about the risks in parts of San Francisco. Office seemed to be staffed 24/7 for the front door buzzer. Also cheap bottled water available compared to nearby shops.

The area feels a bit dodgy. The shared toilets don’t have sinks. Rooms don’t have a fridge. There is a strange lingering smell throughout the hotel

Room had a TV, sink. We could leave bags before check-in. Hotel is next to 16th / Mission street BART station, so easy to get to from the airport and into downtown. Free coffee is a nice bonus

The presence of homeless people in the neighborhood is not very appealing

The location is dangerous, however the hostel appears to have good security. The hostel smells odd, but you get used to it after the first day.

Hostel was clean, beds were clean, toilets, showers were clean too. Sheets and towels were provided. Lots of connections to BART lines and MUNI lines. The service people were really nice

The hotel is simple, but I had great sleep there, the shared bathroom and toilet were always super clean, and the staff was helpful and always very correct. Though there are a lot of homeless people around the hotel, I never had any issues even returning late night. You need a few days to get accustomed, but this is a lively area in San Francisco.
