It was a cozy house with a very clean and secure room. I loved that the neighborhood had a peaceful and calm vibe.  The location was great. There were plenty of nearby restaurants. Public areas were clean and well maintained.

Location, price, staff, comfort! I was literally within minutes of everywhere I needed to be. The home felt very cozy. Entry was easy. Bed was comfortable and although others were in the house it was quiet. I had a special request and by the time I returned the staff made it happen. I would highly recommend staying here. I had a rental and parking wasn't an issue.

I was only there for two nights, but I don't think the hand towel in the bathroom was changed when I was there and there didn't seem to be guest access to others. I wasn't too worried about how clean it was, but it would have been nice to have a new one each day.

The building and room felt very secure. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for my belongings. The public areas (kitchen, dining room) were very clean considering there were others staying there and the kitchen had everything I needed. The bathroom was also very clean, especially considering there were other guests. The atmosphere was quiet as well, which I appreciated. The room was small, but I only needed it to sleep and relax, so it was plenty, and there are common areas if I wanted more space as well. The location is ideal! It was easy to access a variety of food, culture (bookstores!), and nature (especially nearby Lake of the Isles) and it is near bus lines to downtown Minneapolis. I had some trouble with the app and finding the instructions to access the building and my room, and even though I got there around 9:30pm the manager was very responsive and helpful!

I could hear other people talking in the adjacent rooms. Not a lot of soundproofing in an old house. Given the public nature of the house and a shared bathroom, I wasn't that comfortable using the shower. That's not the fault of the guest house, it's just a preference.

Location is superb. 15 minute walk to the Lake of the Isles and right off Hennepin Avenue Uptown. Good value for money.

Address given is for the apartments next door. Pretty sure I am not the only person to encounter this as the tenant said it happens all the time. The bed was on a frame but on the floor.

It would be better if the management is fast in replying to messages in booking.com. As a international solo traveller, before travelling to USA, I should believe that I will have accommodation before reaching there. It should be possible if there is proper communication. Also I am from Melbourne, Australia. I can't use the same mobile number (i.e., Aus number) to call in USA. However, the property has a system of calling via number registered in the booking.com. Given the slow communication between me and management, I am happen to call via new US number after reaching the location. No one has to be advised to call via registered number (which I can't) after such a long hour of flight. I would recommend the property to confirm the identity via some other parameters like confirmation number or Name rather than registered mobile phone atleast for international travellers.

The entire stay was good, including the room and environment. Having Wifi is additional complement. The location of stay itself has access to city centre via bus. There are different multi-cuisine restaurants nearby.

I was told that the check-in time was around 3 p.m. At least, that was my impression. I stood at the door for about three and a half hours before someone called me with the instructions to get to my room. But that was the only bad thing.

The room was nice and comfortable. I enjoyed all the things that the place had to offer.

Excellent communication with owners. Easy check in by using door codes. Place is spotlessly cleen. If you don't have the whole apartment to yourself, you will hear the other guests though and have to hope they are quiet, thich was the only little downside. Really nice and safe neighborhood, close to beautiful Lake Calhoun, but also to local shops, and the bus downtown stops nearby. Free car parking right on the street. Overall - wonderful place.

Top level has tricky spiral stairs if you have large luggage. Backpacks, duffels are much easier to navigate.

It might sound cliché but we thought the window could really use some medium thick ďrapes to cover it all the way. It would also be energy efficient at the same time by insulating the window keeping the room warmer easier during the cold season.

Very homey, very clean. Quiet and relaxed energy. Pleasant and respectful kind of guests stay there, it's not for being wild. It's easy to get to and my wife was thrilled with the bathtub shower. A nice home where you can cook in a real kitchen and relax in the common area.

The window blinds in the bedroom were hard to open and couldn’t have any privacy. Other guests were playing their music a little loud past 9 pm.

There were only a couple of things I didn't like. One was that a lot of the windows were open when I got there (including the one inside the room I was staying in) so the building was extremely cold inside. So I had to cuddle up inside the bed as soon as I got there to warm up and stay warm. The second thing was that there was not a lot of organization in the kitchen area referring to people's personal items that were in there. I loved that there was free coffee offered to people staying there(and I could tell it was for everyone) but I wanted creamer and forgot to bring any but there was a container containing individual creamers and individual butters in it and I couldn't tell if it was somebody's own personal items or if it was left on the counter by the owner of the building for the occupants to use. So as far as I know someone could be short a creamer and three butters but I don't know for sure. The fridge was very well organized for people's personal items though.

The place was very clean which I was extremely relieved to find out. It was a nice little mental break since I had just had some dental work done and didn't want anymore mental stress to deal with afterwards and a nice break from some of the messes I have going on at home. The neighborhood was also beautiful with a lot of older houses with older house charm. Honestly kind of an oasis like the name implies. I also liked the fact that there was a full kitchen to use for cooking food. I was feeling a little mentally incapacitated after my dentist visit because they had put me on some oxygen and it was nice to have the kitchen to make stuff and not run the risk of getting into a car accident trying to drive somewhere to get food.

Good location, easy to park, safe/secure, comfortable bed, clean & stocked bathrooms (great water temp/pressure too), easy instructions for checking in & out. Hooray for free coffee!
