I checked in late that night and the check in attendant was extremely rude and was the first person we encountered. She wasn’t friendly and had an attitude throughout the entire conversation.

There was someone on the bed when we opened the door upon check in. We did get a new room. The room could use some updating. There was a sandy film on the sheets, under the blanket. It felt gritty. The sheets, bedspread and towels were stained.

We were assigned a room on the 5th Floor. We got there and the room was already opened and dirty. No way it was ready to be assigned to customers. I went back to report it and went from 5th to 1st Floor. Got to the first floor and saw piles of dirty linings in the p-way by the room we were just assigned. I was very surprised and disappointed. I mean this was a huge pile of dirty linen. I am not sure if we were suppose to be on that floor because we saw one of the stuff on that floor and he seems to be surprised we were on that floor. That seen was unacceptable. This was around 7pm. Later around 9 pm, we saw other person clearing it. I guess there is laundry room around there however, those dirty laundry shouldn't have been out there, on the floor by other rooms. Management needs to look into it.

This hotel is not oceanfront views but we still were fine staying here. We don't have anything bad to say bout the hotel. They do not offer free continental breakfast but I think that's because rooms have kitchens to make breakfast.

Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Loved having a full kitchen with a dishwasher that all dishes are supplied. Really nice to have washers and dryers in the hotel to wash laundry. It was nice to take home clean clothes instead of having to worry bout washing them after getting home. Washer and dryer usage is FREE to use. Me and my husband had a great time here. Would definitely go back. Hotel supplied plenty of towels and wash cloths. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel is close to Walmart and other shopping areas. Close to the beach also. Free parking. Rooms are very spacious. No bugs. Again our room was extremely clean and neatly kept. Alot of lighting in the rooms

1) We had a dust pan in the room, but no broom - which would have come in handy a few times during our stay. A spray mop, or even a dry cloth sweeper situation would have been even better. I loved the hard floors, but I like to keep them clean (my toddler disagrees). 2) While a few things seemed to have been updated, the hotel could use an overall refresh, especially in the common areas. The halls look very dated in contrast to the rooms (except for all the curtains which were dated everywhere). 3) The indoor pool, is nice as an amenity, but should absolutely not look old and dingy considering it is the focal point of the entry/lobby/entire hotel. The pool water itself was clean and warm, but the pool needs to be refinished/resurfaced. The lighting in the pool area is dim, and there is not enough furniture for guests. The pool deck area is pretty small, but even adding a couple of spa benches - like literally 2 - and some hooks on a wall would allow for more than 2 units to share the pool at the same time. We were the 3rd unit down to the pool, so the 2 pairs of seats were already taken by the other guests' dry items and towels. I would've been happy to hang our towels and coverups on a few hooks, rather than on the ledge we had to use (which my son's glasses fell off of into the reception area).

The hotel itself is obviously pretty old, but the rooms (and elevator) appear to have been updated. Fixtures and appliances were newer and modern. Bedroom and living room were bright and spacious. The kitchenette is tiny, but sufficient and well appointed. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Bathroom was a little dated (other than fixtures) but sparkling white and clean (having a tub is also a bonus when traveling with a toddler). The thing that took a decent, clean, comfortable, dated hotel over the top is the staff. From check-in to check-out, questions from Me (mom) and kids, requesting extra linen and late check-out, every single staff member we encountered was excellent. They were welcoming, attentive, quick, and courteous. Every staff member greeted us, we could be passing in the hall as they were cleaning - there was always a smile and a friendly hello. We had a minor maintenance issue (thermostat battery died overnight), and the maintenance man showed up within minutes of me telling the front desk. I only got two names, Mo and Candace at the front desk, but I wish I had gotten more. I would take their whole staff with me on every trip if I could.

Floors in the room was a little slippery. It appears that there was to much wax used on the floor. Or perhaps the wrong type of cleaning agent used. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Candace at the check-in counter was very friendly and patience with answering my questions and guiding me through the check-in process!

1. I liked the comfortable bed but not the quality of the pillows that gave me neck pains the following morning. I don't like the fact that there's only 1 small window to peek outside from our room. 2. The old pull-out sofa without complete bed linens/pillow cases because they ran out, according to the hskg staff. 3. The staff who was with us in the elevator definitely just finished smoking marijuana because he surely left the smell in the elevator even after he stepped out. 4. I don't remember seeing one staff member making an effort to smile or initiate to greet during most of our interactions, except for the guy who came to tell us the bad news that there were no more pillow cases for the pull-out sofa. 😀 5. The location of the front desk, which is literally just across the elevator when it opens, in my opinion, needs to be relocated. It created heavy traffic when guests simultaneously come for check in/out, or waiting for the elevator, or when passing by going out to the parking lot. It makes the already small area even more crampy and inconvenient. Meanwhile, the relatively longer lobby lounge and coffee area are almost vacant most of the time.

The view of the pool from the higher floor corridors is beautiful. 4. The kitchen is fully equipped. 5. Bathrooms are clean with good enough space. 6. Very close walk to the beach.

We had no shower curtian in the bathroom. Went to the front (front end lady apologize & very nice) to let them know & a few minutes later the guy came up & handed us the shower curtian... so we had to put it up. Not worth the 300$ we paid for 1 night. Check in is at 4 but check out is 10 most other places are 11.
