Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesUpon arrival parking was horrible, dingy stained towels, and dingy sheets on bed. Toilet seats were loosen in in both bathrooms. I had to go to Walmart, in West Memphis Arkansas to purchase towels. I, was very dissatisfied.
The location of the apartment is great, lots of things within walking distance!!!

AustraliaThe booking & check in process For this reason i would not stay again 1st instance, the emails received re booking & obtaining photo id, photos of card details leaves a lot of room for identity theft. I was asked to to this 2 or 3 times, with money, taken “as a test” from my account! The information received leading up to check in was convoluted & unclear. On arrival, the instructions did not make sense & we were stuck outside the building for over an hour trying to work out what to do even though there is a doorman that does not help you. We were helped by a person who had the same problems & gave us the phone number to call. Once we got through the door we received an email for check in with detailed photos which we needed before this time! Getting to the room, the door code did not work as we were not informed of a further digit! It took us 2 hrs in total to finally get in the room!!!!!

The property is in close vicinity to quite a few restaurants and not too far from Beale Street. I felt secure inside this building with all the security measures. The whole building is maintained very well, and the apartment was clean.

IsraelCheck in was a nightmare. They asked way more info than any other place. By far. And i travel a lot. Be prepare to: take a selfie with id to prove you are real, send a picture of your id (separately), send a picture of your credit card, share details and email of your all party, send a print of your credit card report proving that their test charge was made!!!!!! You just have to work for them. And bare in mind that i reserved through booking that already have my details. Their excuse is that it us an online check in as if we are not in 2023 and most check ins are online. I would not recommend this if you are traveling an do not want to work for others. Also- staying short is expensive as the cleaning fee is 110$ so be aware.
Place is great. Was perfect for our family needs. Very good location. Cheap street parking if you find a spot. Clean. Good kitchen and good sofa bed. But….

That there’s only two sets of towels for the whole stay should be at least four. Also, if you’re with a group and everyone shower right behind each other three of you will not be able to shower water ice cold.

GermanyThis was the most unpleasant stay in a holiday accomodation we've ever had - and we travel a lot. The check in process was extremely stressful. They asked us to fill a form with passport and other details as most hotels do. And of course we did. However then on the morning of the stay (while we were checking out at our previous location) they send us a message, asking to send our passport photo, selfie and a photo of our credit card AGAIN for confirmation. They wrote that if we do not send all these details within two hours, our booking would be cancelled. And that was after they had already confirmed the completed registration the first time and the apartment was fully paid! After sending all the details, they insisted to see a confirmation from our bank account for a test charge they had run - and that caused us more trouble cause I could not see the test charge on my account as my bank does not provide real time updates (they made the test charge the same morning only - WHY?) Then they insisted that i would call my bank to confirm the amount of the test charge, even though i was in another country and another time zone, just unrealistic! I just dont understand why we need to confirm the ownership of our bank account after we have already paid the complete amount? And why not ask all these things a few days prior to arrival so that you would not stress your guests while traveling? Eventually they let us in, but then insisted to see the test charges in the following days. I complained to them massively about this procedure but they could not even explain the reasoning behind all this. At some point during the process i just though this was a scam because the communication was so unnecessary and unprofessional. This was the most unpleasant hotel/apartment stay i have ever had and i wouldnt recommend anyone going here. Better put a real person at the counter and provide a nice registration / check in experience.
The location of the place was good, also the security guy of the building was very nice - but did not belong to Abode. The apartment itself was ok, however there are no windows to open and the air condition does not function well, so it was really moist the whole time. at the end of the stay we could not see through the windows anymore as water was running down the windows. Really unpleasant.

No place to unpack or put clothes and closet had no room since it was being used to store cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaner, broom and dust pan. Quite simply, it was a broom closet. Toilet paper holder in 1/2 bath was broken and all blinds were extremely dusty.

United States1. the process of booking confirmation is extremely difficult. once my reservation was confirmed through booking.com , I had to fill out a lengthy online form for Abode. it also included a credit card payment for parking. once finished, I received an e-mail from them that their system was broken and charged me for parking that they in fact do not provide. My money was refunded, the form voided and I had to start the whole process all over again 2. once I filled out the form for the second time, I had to send them a myriad of pictures including one of my face holding my credit card while covering all the numbers except for the last 4. We do travel extensively and I’ve booked dozens of apartments before. Never did I have to jump through so many hoops to get my booking confirmed 3. After sending them all the required pictures, I received an e-mail asking for a screenshot of my credit card statement showing a pending charge from them under $2 to verify that it was my card. This pending charge didn’t appear until the day if our stay!!!!! and I didn’t know for sure they’d let us use the apartment until just a few hours before our stay. And this is despite me sending them a screenshot of my card statement showing their charge for the booking in full! 4. Once the booking was finally confirmed and we arrived at the apartment, the entry code for the door did not work. My multiple attempts to call the number provided were unsuccessful. I ended up calling booking.com customer service and asking for their help. We spent 45 min at night in the hallway of the apartment building waiting to get in 5. This is not!!!! a 2-bedroom apartment. There’s 1 bedroom and a living room that has a sofa bed and another bed separated by a curtain! 6. The linens for the sofa bed were completely wet when I got them out of the closet and after waiting in the hallway to get into the apartment, I ended up needing to run the dryer instead putting the tired kids to bed.
