Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe parking was costly and took us lot of time every time due to valet only parking. We had to wait for the car to come out. There was a cleaning issue as we found hair from previous customers on bedsheets. The shower was was good but the water drainage system in shower was slow to the extent that it seemed jammed. We missed complimentary coffee with the coffee maker.
Good Location and courteous staff. Attractions close by. Nice clean rooms, fridge and small coffee maker. Daily room service.

United StatesMy room was on the third floor, overlooking the street corner, and it was kind of loud at night. I think this was mostly due to the fact that the lanai sliding doors seemed old and they definitely were not soundproof. And I say this as a person who lives on the third floor of a building on a busy street in Brooklyn and has a balcony over looking the street—this room let in more noise than I get in my apartment. Next time I would book a room on a higher floor or one with a pool view to not be overlooking the street.
I loved the Brutalist design of the hotel and how they leaned into that aesthetic with info on the building's history. I was in a city view corner king, which was super cute, spacious, and got great light. The pool area is amazing—the pool is large and there are plenty of loungers, so it never felt crowded.

CanadaThe room was small even though there were two beds. The shower head isn’t great. The air conditioner did not work properly. I still haven’t been refunded my $200 deposit and it’s been 7 days since I’ve left. They should just hold that money in case there is damage, not cash it in right away.
The location was perfect.

CanadaThe decor is really intriguing in photos. But after checking in, we found our room to be a bit "meh". The AC is quite loud, the room felt damp and smelled overwhelming like bleach and the feather pillows smell odd. The balcony door is very old and thin, too. For the price, it's probably a great deal. But I just can't shake the bleach smell!
Front counter experience with Daniel was great and we enjoyed the complimentary beverage on checkin. The location across from the quiet canal is nice.

United StatesThe hotel rooms are a bit-dated, but a good value compared to many of the Waikiki area hotels.
Hotel was conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and attractions, but a bit more secluded off the major highways. Higher-floor rooms provide views of the canal, city and country side.

United StatesIt is a short walk to the beach, but it's not a particularly pleasant walk. Lots of traffic and construction etc. We weren't crazy about Waikiki in general though - other parts of the island have nicer/less crowded beaches. The hotel property is much more compact than photos reveal. Neither the pool nor hot tub were properly heated. On two separate occasions housekeeping took our bath towels and the forgot to replace them (an easily remedied problem but kind of funny).
We chose this hotel for the vibes, and I think they delivered. It's definitely trendy and cute and a good value for the area. Staff were friendly and the room was nice. The added cost of valet parking is a bummer but I think that's the case at all Waikiki hotels, and it was honestly really nice to not have to think about parking.

United StatesIt is an older hotel that has been remodeled. As such, the sound insulation between the rooms was lacking, or our neighbor was exceptionally loud.
The place had a very wonderfully Aloha vibe. Everyone was helpful friendly and available. Both restaurants were wonderful, the pool was well protected from the wind, so was great to have on windy days.

FranceIt’s definitely more a cosmetic re-do of an old brutalist building to look like a boutique hotel. Old windows and doors and not soundproof so you hear all the traffic in the morning. Basic rooms are small and with double beds so it feels a bit crowded with 3. Expensive meals, breakfast being mediocre at best. Bar and restaurant close early. Reception staff were less friendly (never seemed to smile) than rest of staff. Like an Ibis Styles hotel for those who have stayed in the chain.
Good location, away from the crowded busy section of Waikiki, easy 8-10 min walk to the beach near the Duke statue, close to the Waikiki supermarket and the International Market for restaurants and shops, comfortable beds, balcony for each room with lots of light and views of the canal and mountains, good Poke at the restaurant, coffee for takeaway or staying, beach towels and chairs at your disposal, and valet parking. Valet parking staff, cleaning crew, and restaurant staff were very courteous and friendly.
