Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe staff member that checked us in seemed to be in a bad mood, so he was not very helpful and had an attitude when we asked about things like the parking situation or where we could go for a bite to eat. Also, the surrounding area seemed like it had alot of potential but everything was closed and nobody was out. There honestly wasn't much for us to do, but I'm hoping it's only because of COVID and the transition to re-opening. Lastly, it was likely a mistake but when we showed up the staff member tried to say I had 2 rooms booked when I definitely only booked 1. He took care of the problem.
This hotel has a definite historic feel to it, originally the Louisiana National Bank. The lighting and ambience was also a pretty romantic experience for even our short stay. There are some magnificent art pieces in the lobby. We also had an enjoyable experience grabbing drinks and a bite at the hotel bar. The bed was restful, the room spacious and the view incredible.

BelgiumWe arrived by car, gave that car to the valet; went to reception to check-in; then (because our room wasn't ready yet) went to explore town - our bags were still in the hotel. After an hour or so I received an e-mail that they were overbooked and needed to change us to a nearby hotel. They would be paying for the expenses, but according to that website; the hotel we were put in has rates half that of The Watermark AND the room was much smaller with NO view. We also then needed to pick our bags up at The Watermark to transport ourselves. So if you don't mind being put in another hotel even when already checked-in and you want to stay in a cheaper hotel; this is your go-to place!
We got a free bottle of water when checking in.
