Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe breakfast was lack luster. Though the great value yogurt was surprisingly yummy. Would prefer Amish bakery foods, scrambled eggs, sausage, so many beautiful farmers markets to get fresh rhubarb, strawberries, grapes, blueberries. Make fresh fruit cups. Real cream from cows, etc. Charge a little more during weekends to recoup food money. Love the coffee station on the 2nd floor. Loved my room, 219 for it location in the building and so cozy was the bed. Great water pressure. Thanks for my late arrival help. REMEMBER to let the hotel know ahead of time if your late and leave good number, sometimes booking sites don’t update information or save preferences.
The old world charm. Astonished by age and how well it seems to be kept up! Just loved it.

United StatesBathroom (Particularly) the shower was very tiny. Loose, old, broken, stained ceiling tiles, and Air handling system rusty. Looks like some places had been tidied up but the staff seemed either overworked or just unmotivated. especially to clean. Also continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Bagel found with mold. Made eating the rest to be a crap shoot.
The thought of and old (period) hotel. Dinner meal was good as well, although the dinning room needed sprucing up.

United StatesIt was kind of far away from stores and things. The parking lot was difficult because it was shared with restaurant patrons and not very big to begin with. Not very easy to get in and out of by the road. The restaurant was pricey for the quantity we received. Also the staff did not ask us anything about our stay before we left. But they were nice.
The building was very pretty and their room was just beautiful.

United StatesContinental breakfast was a bit underwhelming -- need more protein options. Toaster might need checking -- burned bagels. Window could not be closed in room ... found other windows unlocked -- locked them. Bathroom tiles need a good scrubbing --dirty looking grout. Toilets need to be changed out to a larger and higher type as people are taller and larger now. Shower stalls are also on the smaller side of current day. Unfortunate water update issues that required us to find another hotel further away from Tel Hai Retirement Village.
Receptionists are always pleasant. Dinner on site has always been tasty --waitresses are always efficient, though we made it tough with 10 people. Continental breakfast was sufficient. Was very thankful for the discount to visiting Tel Hai residents. Close to Tel Hai Retirement Village. Honey Brook is a nice historic town. Very glad to see Waynebrook Inn is still in use and owners are trying their best to keep a bit of history alive.

United StatesCould not locate a hairdryer in the room. You need to request from reception (though it was delivered to my room within minutes at 6am!) In-room Insulation/acoustics - woken very early Sunday a.m. by nearby room conversions
Was looking for a change from Expo Center lodging and was pleasantly surprised by a refreshing stay "a world away", approx 10 minutes off the PA Tpke. Room bigger than expected, comfortable bed, convenient on-site restaurant and pub with varied menu, self-serve breakfast room.

United StatesBathroom toilet way too low. The bathroom can take some work but it was absolutely clean and everything worked with no issues. Not having coffee makers in the room. You need to go to another floor to get coffee.
I liked that is close to everything you need even in walking distances. The restaurant and staff members were great. I stayed in a room with only one bed with my daughter and when we arrived they had an extra folding bed for her. It was a plus, I appreciated. Room was cleaned and had everything that was needed.

United StatesToo much noise from the traffic right outside my room kept me awake all night. Also the curtains didn't close and there was a light from the balcony shining in right where I laid my head on the pillow.
The room was very spacious and the front desk person was very helpful.

United StatesNo staff ever at the desk for issues or check in. Room next to us had a huge fight at 2 am , screaming and dog barking, and slamming stuff. No staff of course so just had to wait it out.
Nice hotel. Older of course, but it's well maintained. Staff in the restaurant was fantastic as was their food.

United KingdomWe had a good room with a four-poster bed. While some of the furniture was tired and some wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom, it had character and charm. Breakfast was limited, but OK - you even got a ceramic coffee mug, which is something for the USA. The breakfast room was nice, overlooking the garden. They have a restaurant serving decent food and good beers. The staff we met were cheerful and helpful.

United KingdomNot a very good shower Decor is quite outdated but unique. If you arrive late to check in, the setup doesn’t really work if you are from outside USA. Unable to contact reception on UK phone. Found it difficult to get a staff members attention. A very kind quest called on our behalf.

United StatesThe breakfast was a little sparse but we did come in towards the end. We also wished it was available past 10am, but that's what we get for sleeping in haha. The shower was also pretty small but water pressure and temp were good. No hairdryer available
The Waynebrook Inn was a cute little historical place to stay for a couple nights. The staff was excellent at helping us (especially checking in past midnight, thank you!!) and fixing our room keys when they didn't work. The bed and pillows were comfy, the bathroom was clean, and the AC was nice and cold!

United StatesIt was a cool night and the heat wasn’t on. The staff on that night was busy but when he got to the room he explained about the boiler wasn’t turned on which made perfect sense. He did a few adjustments with the AC which did allow the room to warm up a little.
It was an older place with character.
