Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe were on the 4th floor and the elevator didn't work the entire stay. Personal umbrellas or canopies are not allowed on the private beach.
Loved this place! So close to the beach that is private to the condo. Condo was clean and had everything we needed. Furniture was all clean and comfortable, balcony had a small view of the ocean, everything worked and could not here any neighbors! This place exceeded my expectations! location was perfect for a day trip to Seaside or to the Gulfarium.

United StatesCondo was not clean. We had to sweep, mop, and vacuum the entire condo the first night and luckily already had some cleaning supplies with us to clean the bathrooms and kitchen. Horrible smell coming from the garbage disposal all week and the “clean dishes” weren’t actually clean, so we had to wash them before use as well. Living room furniture wasn’t clean either. We had to lay sheets over everything to sit comfortably.

United StatesAs soon as we walked in our room upon arrival it smelled like urine, so we opened up the balcony to let the room air out. It was s strong odor that lasted the entire time. The floors were sticky. The master bathroom sink and bathtub sink would not drain so my husband worked on it for like 30 minutes to get it working. They bought had hair stuck in them that looked like it had been in there for years. I was thankful he was handy. I sneezed a lot from dust. There was dust on everything, all the furnishings like the lamps, curtains, and surfaces. Also, there was a dog staying next door to us that barked the entire week. That was extremely annoying. Other than that, it was prefect.
I loved the location, the comfy bed, and the effortlessness of access to the room and the beach. I loved the extra room for my family and the washer and dryer availability. I loved the balcony area to relax in.
