Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesFreezing cold, and AC unreachable up by ceiling where it could not be adjusted. It's a small, low cost room so I should not expect luxury. I felt I got what I paid for. There should be grab bars in the bathroom for old folks like us.

United StatesRoom was dirty, old furniture and mattress was disgusting. I think sheets were clean but hard to say. We only stayed because no other hotels in town were available. We had to be there for a baseball game. No close towns to drive to and stay or we would have. TV did not work either. I would never suggest anyone stay here. Even though it didn’t cost much, I would gladly pay more for a clean room and working facilities.
Nothing- it was filthy, floor was disgusting. Broken furniture. Hard to even get to turn on air conditioning.

United KingdomUnclean. Tried to check out after 20 ( only took that long because my wife was breastfeeding our baby) they wouldn’t refund because it was after 15 minutes. There was an inch gap below the door allowing draft in (it was down to -8•c that night) there were two armchairs you could sit in if you wanted to face the wall that was 12” away, no chance of seeing the TV…..the list goes on!
