The location, the cleanliness, the staff hospitality, the decor, snacks!! From sunrise to sunset… this place was absolutely beautiful. I would do anything to live at wheeler on the bay for at least a year haha

We couldn't figure out the TV but not for lack of information. Not big TV folks anyways so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Everything was great. The only thing I didn’t like is that we couldn’t stay longer and I did not have my boat with me. I don’t have anything negative to say at all about the property or the staff

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, and the room was perfect. I will definitely go back with friends for crabbing and fishing this summer. We have stayed on 3 different rooms at this location and have been equally pleased each time.

It's not that I didn't like it but one needs to know that other than the Salmonberry (closed on Thursdays) there isn't much around the Wheeler Lodge. You need to bring some food or take a short drive for additional restaurants but you may not want to leave while you're there. There is a good liquor store across the street that closes at 6pm.

The Wheeler on the Bay Lodge is a surprisingly perfect location. I was expecting a motel and got a small resort, quiet, serene, beautifully located next to the marina. The rooms are big compared to what you normally get at a motel, very clean (as in VERY), well equipped with functioning appliances. My room had a small deck in the back which was a really nice place to just rest a bit and take in the scenery. They have a dock and you can apparently rent canoes to move around the Nehalem River (which I didn't do), get on a boat for some fishing and while I was having my coffee early in the morning I could see some lucky anglers pull sizeable fish from the river. Bonus points: there is an excellent restaurant right next door, the Salmonberry. Great food you probably wouldn't expect in a place like Wheeler with "al fresco" right on the banks of the Nehalem. Spectacular.

we loved everything about this charming property! very friendly check in, the thoughtful giving of a picnic style basket of convenience breakfast items and snacks for your stay was a nice little bonus! the room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. the bed was amazing and great water pressure and heat in the shower. would definitely stay again next time in Wheeler!

Having a mini fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, coffee pot, etc were all great, and even a little sink but the sink didn't have a garbage disposal or strainer so I was a little worried about washing dishes and getting food down the sink. Also the pillows were a little high for my neck.

Loved the view and proximity to beaches. Loved taking breakfast items to our room to be able to eat whenever we want.
