It was the perfect spot. Cool atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast was perfect. The front desk gave us a bottle of champagne because we were on our honey moon.

Not enough light in the room in the evening. It looks romantic with fireplace, but would appreciate more lamps.

The interior is truly unique, especially the old elevator and the place to sit and relax downstairs, with tea/coffee any time. All personnel were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good, the room was clean and mattress was comfortable too. The hotel also provided pack-and-play for our toddler daughter for extra fee. We definitely enjoyed and will be coming back!

We were fortunate - our room was a very good size. The breakfast was always good quality, varied and fresh. The staff were all approachable, friendly and helpful. The complimentary 'happy hour' in the evening was most welcome!

Everything.! This is the coolest boutique hotel ever. The bed was super comfortable, the staff very friendly, breakfast is simple and tasty, good safe location. Will stay here everytime we visit San Fran from now on.

Carpeting - a little bit shabby

Loved the room decor! Pulled the chairs up to the fireplace on a rainy afternoon and it was very cozy! Bed was high and comfortable - I like it. Fabulous location for proximity to shopping. Excellent restaurant recommendations by the staff.

Wasn't a big fan of the bed, mattress didn't quite have enough support.

Quite a lovely cozy British style inn. A gem find in the heart of San Francisco. The staff is very friendly, and the inn has a large common area that is quite comfortable to work/relax in, complete with couches and fireplaces, and there is a happy hour with wine and cheese. Free coffee and a variety of tea is available all day. The room itself has decent noise insulation.

It's quite an old building so the single pane glass windows let in noise at night time but this can't be helped for such an old beautiful building

The situation was perfect we was able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Bonus of the wine and cheese evenings which we thoroughly enjoyed. Rooms were huge each had its own character, very well thought out. Great buffet breakfast.

Quirky hotel in central location. Spacious warm room with interesting 1960’s decor and vibe. Great ‘happy hour’ with free wine and cheese provided in residents lounge each evening 5-6 pm helped guests socialise. Quality cooked and continental breakfast

This hotel was fantastic not a luxury one but really nice. The hotel staff - all of them - was friendly and serviceminded. The room was large with a small kitchenet. We apprecited that there were bathrobes for both of us. The location was perfect. The breakfast was included in the room price. The porridge was very good. I should have appreciated if there had been also vegetables like tomatoes and cucumber. It was a positive suprise that it was a possibility to enjoy wine and cheese in the breakfast/library room each afternoon

The only one downside of this perfect location: the overnight parking prices are quite crazy.

An attractive atmosphere and color scheme of a British-style home, very different from modern American hotel rooms. The location is nearly perfect: centrally located and quiet without any noise from the city.
