The room was stunning, with an exceptionally comfortable bed and the room was spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and professional, and the breakfast provided was so delicious! The chef is amazing. It is walking distance to many downtown restaurants and has beautiful gardens surrounding the Inn. They also offer free on site parking.

Meals are amazing - the Alchemy restaurant for dinner is destination dining. Breakfasts are equally good and a great value for travelers. The rooms are elegant and cozy and the staff are super helpful.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I ever had. It was a high-end meal like you would receive at a 4 Seasons hotel. The location is right in the middle of the downtown but just far enough set back to be quiet and peaceful. The rates are very reasonable. I'm so happy I stayed at the Winchester Inn.

The bed was pillowy but too soft for my back. Not enough pillows. Office not available after 5:00 the day we were there. Off season price was ok because of the breakfast but high at other times. Restaurant prices very high. Food is excellent however.

Beautiful historic inn. Walkable to downtown shops and restaurants. Very clean. Beautiful lanndscaped grounds. Included breakfast was magnificent!! Good happy hour. Left me a beautiful plate of treats in the room for my birthday.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about out stay at The Winchester. The location is perfect, the hotel and rooms are beautiful. The staff are kind, thoughtful, friendly and attentive, and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious!

Absolutely everything. The property was impeccably maintained, the furnishing details were excellent, the location was in the heart of town, staff were attentive and the food was top class. The breakfast was the cherry on the top. They even booked breakfast times so that it did not get crowded. The breakfast preparation was so good.

Excellent 2-course breakfast with coffee and juice. Excellent bar, but it closes by 10pm so its still quiet in near-by rooms for sleeping. Great neighborhood and you can easily walk to theatre venues. Excellent restaurants close-by, as well as bookstore, pharmacy and more. Very responsive staff throughout the inn from Front Desk, restaurant, housekeeping, groundskeeper. This is my second stay and my first choice for Ashland.
