Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIts felt dirty, it stuck, there was no hot water, the AC didn't work and it was so hot it was hard to sleep! And when i opened the window to cool off because i was feeling sick the "maintenance guy" came and closed it and put a lock on it he was unbelievable RUDE about it too.
Its was the closest hotel to the heart hospital, and the lady that checked us is was wonderful everything else was TERRIBLE

They said it was wrong on the website, but didn’t offer a better room or to refund the charge for the inaccurate information. United StatesOne said one thing and the other said another on the same topic The office staff couldn't get it together. One perticular front desk woman. She's only front desk person that is over the age of 60. Very hateful and rude. Everybody else was very kind and everybody knew we were staying there because the location was perfect for my husband and I. It's close to his cancer doctor . My husband loves it there and the front desk woman who was so rude to us kicked us out 3 days before we were supposed to pay our two weeks again. She stole $120 from us after I had gone and spoke with Michael, the GM of this hotel and he told me we were fine until. Thursday she came at 4:00 pm that evening and told us to get out of our room until we could pay again. Well we didn't have any money we had just had to spend the last of it in my husbands cancer medications.anyway. I would never stay there again until she is gone.
