So-So Hotel in Boston with Downtown Boston Prices
    • Business trip
    • Group
    • Executive Double Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

Breakfast was very underwhelming. Too far from anything useful in the city. Very expensive for very low value.

Hotel was a standard Wyndham with absolutely no extras. The room was comfortable. The beds were large and the shower was strong with good hot water.

May be time to update or remodel. I noticed food containers would be left outside of the rooms for hours at a time in halls.

Location and this is the third time staying this Wyndham.

A nearby construction site with noise in the morning. At some point we had a bathroom problem...the shower and the tap where working simultaneously...we ask for somebody...nobody came until 23:30.

Decent location...one can walk the entire freedom trail from the hotel.

There was a horrible cooking odor from early in the morning that was whiffing into our room. It was disgusting and kept me awake starting at 4 am, to smell grease and other unpleasant odors. I don't know from what kitchen this exhaust was from, but it was terrible.

I asked for a quiet room and i got one that was quiet enough.

Construction across the street creates loud noise and not good view. Also they hold a ‘deposit’ until you leave for car parking and potential restaurant expenses. We didn’t have a car and didn’t eat there and not sure it’s right to hold money ‘just in case’ you use it. !! Check out and doublethink that policy. They do ‘refund’ it quickly they said. We’ll be watching for that.

The price was good comparable to other higher priced hotels in the area. We did like that we could walk to a concert at city winery which is why we chose it.

Valet parking with in and out privileges is a huge bonus! It’s the same price as self parking (without in/out) 10 min walk to the Garden which made it ideal for an overnight concert stay. Decent price compared to other area hotels.

The property is dated and needs facelift. But great value for the money and superb location.

It was great for its proximity to Mass General...I was doing pre op appointments for knee replacement surgery. Less than a block fropm the hospital and great restaurants, shops, bars around. Beautiful and historic neighborhood.
