The overall atmosphere was a bit cold. The Spa was a bit "clean" as in terms of too big, too cold. Sauna was also too cold. No windows in the spa area

I didn't like that the Juice Bar was only open on the weekend and the price of spa services were very high.

The cleanliness was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was better than expected except for the fact that there was no meat, but I get it. Beds were comfy. The bathroom had a beautiful shower and a heated bidet seat within the private toilet area. The fruit infused water was a delight.

The pool was freezing, both hot tubs were freezing cold. The expense for lunch & dinner were too much. Lunch should be half of dinner price.

unfortunately some of the facilities weren’t working still (hot tub, etc) and some of the facilities looked worn down (stains on the robes, carpets, etc) also there are hidden fee’s (a whopping $100) that they don’t tell you about when booking through booking.com

I got the impression that not many people were there yet the place is so huge and meant to accommodate many more people. There isn’t a lot of staff and things like the pool heat wasn’t working. Sad because the place has potential but it’s obviously struggling.

Breakfast and location was good. I enjoyed my spa time for the most part. The place is huge and has lots to see.

On purpose I approached her TWO times to make sure that $63 was the only charge I'm gonna get because I had one dinner and bought one bag. She said yes. The next day when I'm already home I get another separate charge for the bag, of $19.44. I call them back she picks up again. I tell her the dinner was how much? She says the dinner is $65. But we charged you $63 (probably because I didn't eat anything, because I'm not a vegan. they have no meat there). I call booking (on booking it says $50) they call them and demand refund. I'm still waiting for it. They told me it's gonna take about 12 days(???) but whatever. One thing I can be sure of, if Michael was there those 3 days he would never allow this situation to happen. On the day 2 there was also a fire alarm and they were trying to make people get out of the buiding half-naked, thanks God I managed to take my coat with me. So all in all, the only good and helping hand was Michael. The guys in the dining room were above and beyond. The woman, who accompanied me to watch a movie together was very nice, I think she's a nurse. The housekeeping indian men was very nice. The rooms were clean. There was a steam shower, they told me it's gonna heat up in 20 minutes, I waited for an hour, it still heated up to"warm" but never to Hot. Guys, you better not go there in winter. Probably in summer it's gonna be much better. But still. I pay sooooo much money for 2 days. It could be a lot better. A lot. But Whatever. It was an experince not to repeat again. Thanks to all the big stuff who treated me nice and warm. I will be back to you in summer to make sure that winter was the reason of all small kicks.

So, I'm gonna write a bit long review. First of all - the location is very nice, snowy, but very very far. If you don't drive there let me tell you, there are no local Ubers or Lyfts. There was only one local taxi service that worked and it took them an hour to pick you up. The next day when I needed a Lyft to go back home, which I pre-ordered like three days ago, the driver already knew everything about my biography (welcome to the village). It was probably the same darn taxi service which reincarnated into Lyft)) Imagine you are right at the end of the world. Ok. Now what about hotel itself: First day I go there and the reception guy is Michael. He was really best of the bests. He explained everything to me. He was just up and down. The pool guy was away, I couldn't use the pool, he organized me a free bathtub instead. Thank you Michael, you were the best. BTW: They are completely shortstuffed. When you enter the welness floor there is just no one to help you out there. Unless you order a procedure beforehand. No reception, no one to help. Nothing. Day two: The pool guy is already there by 10am. But the pool is just freezing. It was impossible to enter. I am sure they didn't even care to heat it. But ok. Still day 2: Another woman on reception. A woman of her 50s, with light brown long hair, who definetly didn't like me and didn't even scratch her teeth to pretend to like me. She was comletely UNNICE. I asked her for help for a couple of times, she told some blsht to quickly get rid of me, because I was on her way of talking on the phone on her personal topics. I'm sorry, Mrs. Monticello, I just thought that I can come to you when I needed because you frkn work there. I even asked her for another phone number of taxi service she said I don't know, I went to another receptionist girl she told me with pleasure. I was just praying Mrs Monti weren't there when I checked out, but I was unlucky enough. Cont>>

The hotel is equipped with an amazing indoor swimming pool: huge and beautiful. Too bad the WATER WAS COLD and the swimming pool area freezing.....impossible to use the pool during the winter time in this conditions! Considering that Outside was 24F (-5 C) degrees you need to warm up the location and heat the water. There wasn’t room service or chance to take out the food from the restaurant to the room: very bizarre! The housekeeping service was totally absent. We left the room after the first night and went for breakfast and took a walking....as we get back the room was still undone..... bed not made, bathroom not cleaned, garbage bins still full. Nobody showed up the rest of the day. We had to make our own bed, collect the rubbish and put in order. There wasn’t an ATM... if you need cash “FUGGETTABOUTIT”! An immense hotel like that should have at least an atm machine.

beautiful hotel structure, equipped with many comforts and with the possibility of practicing yoga and similar activities, enjoying massages, practicing physical activity in a large, clean and well-equipped gym. hotel immersed in the greenery of a beautiful forest overlooking the lake and with the possibility of going for walks or bicycle rides. excellent and plentiful breakfast. friendly, welcoming and professional staff. A 5-minute drive from the town of Monticello.

Ok so 1st of all - Here is a list of all the things that were NOT working the entire time we were there The HOT TUB which is also the "waterfall spa" pictured in the photo of the pool. The Large Steam Room near the Pool The Large Sauna near the pool There were only 6 bikes available for a hotel with an easily 300 guest capacity so while we were some of the only guests there the bikes were never available for our use which was a bummer cause it looked like a really nice place for a ride - they have their own trails. We had to figure out how to make the little steam rooms work that were located on different floor so you couldn't really get the pool - steam room - sauna transition to be very smooth . It seems like it's designed more for private sessions - massage - treatments -etc and / or for large corporate groups to come a do yoga and meditate If you are solo or a couple there are better spa experiences out there if you just want to steam and sweat and soak

The Breakfast was ok - for a wellness based center they could have had more gluten free options The Location was idyllic - a beautiful spread of property in the Catskills with a gorgeous lake and beautiful giant trees. There was a problem with our room so they upgraded us to this giant executive suite. It was really appreciated and a super nice room. The pool was nice and the steam rooms and saunas were pretty nice once we got them working. It was a nice quiet weekend getaway which was all we were looking for.
