Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a shame that the crystal beach was closed.
We loved our houses in garden view, with the view of the tennis court. The new crystal view hotel was wonderful, especially the indoor/outdoor pool.

UruguayIf you go on a high season theres gonna be a lot of kids in the pools. It gets very family oriented so take that in mind. The room depends highly on how much you are paying. My room was nice, had a nice view but was not very clean the first day.

Uruguaythe place is so big that it appears to be needing constant maintenance. the lawnmowers are the constant background noise, there are also construction workers around because they are still developing, in my opinion that doesn’t inspire vacation mood. I had to take a few day off after returning so the stress wears out.
you can take nice photos here. I’ve been like ten times already so it’s becoming a bit played for me but for first timers it’s a great experience. Argentinians seem to love it, or they force themselves to love it, understandably, given that most of them drive like twelve hours to get there, and they indulge in all of the activities so they can after brag to they neighbours back home. but I’ve noticed that they don’t eat at the restaurant, do they bring pasta and rice in their bags? 😘

ArgentinaJust a constructive critic for administrative improvements... Check-In process made in 3 areas takes too long (entrance, reception, green park). The same for the Check-out (green park and reception), more staff required or completely re-engineer the process... Check in time at 16:00 should be improved (14:00 would be perfect to use the facilities in the first day)
Everything is designed for a perfect family time and holidays. The area, the facilities, the activities, the different swimming pools (including the ones with warm water), and crystal beach is perfect. Thanks! We'll come back for sure!

BrazilHorrible customer service, front desk is the worst I’ve seen. Their personal is not trained and not friendly. The restaurant is ok, but very expensive comparing what it delivers. About crystal beach, I paid 25 dollars per person to use the beach, my children wanted to use the tubes and other attractions in the beach. My surprise I needed to pay an extra 50 dollars per person and per day. Absurd! I paid $1.244 for 4 days, breakfast not included. My room was old, bad shower, bed and pillows very bad. Summarizing, don’t go to Solanas. If you wanna have a great vacations, take a different hotel otherwise you will get frustrated.
Honestly, Solanas is a hotel group trying to take advantage on your customers. There is nothing positive I can say about my stay.

United KingdomNot enough sockets in accommodation, limited amount of cutlery and plates, only 2 pots for cooking so not enough to make a proper meal, no washing facilities at all on site for clothes which was most disappointing. Water slides cost extra and were very expensive. Internet access was very poor and router had to be changed. Staff on reception seemed to be only monolingual. Bedroom needed a chair and didn’t have one. Hot taps water came out very hot and nearly scalded our kids in the shower.
Swimming pools were nice.

UruguayFull of obnoxious kids. Impossible to relax; even for short periods of time; very loud shrieking and yelling at all hours, even late in the night. While the staff do nothing. Should you confront the parents about their children's behaviour, you'll be told off. There arent' any adult only facilities in the premises where you can escape, either. There's a pool supposed to be off limits to minors, where a family with two kids got the minute we got out of it, the lifeguard, (who was far away all the time) told us so long as they're with the parents all is fine. We complained in the reception and they didn't like that at all! An accident waiting to happen, because it's way too deep for the toddlers and kids splashing everyone else there.-
Nothing.
