Host itself - is very friendly and helpful person (speaks both English and Russian). He allowed me to check in very early. He explained everything and patiently anwsered all my questions. Location was also very good, hostel was quite comfortable.

One bathroom for a 5 bed dorm wasn't an issue for me but might be in busier times. If you are a solo traveller be aware it's not a particularly social place (through no fault of the staff).

Nice guesthouse with attached dorms. Clean with lockers and a decent location. Anvar is the best host I have had on this trip so far - I was clueless on arrival about the temporary need to book trains with a local card, but he prompted me to consider where I was going next and bought the ticket for me immediately. If you like the Uzbek varied meze style of breakfast (dried fruits and nuts etc) then theirs is delicious.

The hotel is located far from the subway or other public transports. One window had a broken lock, and for the first day I couldn't guess why is it so cold in the room, but then the host fixed it.

I stayed in this hotel several years ago, and was pleasured to come there again. The host is wonderful, it's such a please to talk to him. Breakfasts are nice, and the recently opened nearby restaurant with national food is very good.

The hostel is nice and clean.The area is quiet. The staff is really kind. The relaxing patio is lovely. One of the best museums in the city is just around the corner. Good breakfast. Metro kosmonavtlar not far.

The super big bed has the same waves as the funny camel decoration in front of the house. I enjoy the ride! Was so tired that I slept anyway.

Very good little guesthouse, super clean and quiet , close from metro with good local restaurants nearby. The owner is amazing, so friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse to my friends.

Loved my stay here. I arrived late and stayed in the shared dormitory. I had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet for a good night’s rest. The breakfast was lovely with fruit, cakes, bread, eggs and a chicken sausage. Tea and coffee too. The staff are all super lovely and friendly. Anvar was very helpful to talk to, as he helped me plan my travel, recommended good train routes and day trips too. I will be returning to Tashkent and staying with them again!

Staying at Anvar's Guest House was one of the main highlights of our trip! Very creative architectural space with greenery, spacious clean rooms, amazing service and delicious breakfast! Anvar and his colleagues were always ready to help be it keeping the breakfast hours a bit longer for the late ones (us), or serving it earlier so we could eat before our flight, or just generally. I would definitely recommend staying here!

There was nothing here to not like

The staff was really nice. Anvar spoke really fluent English, gave me great recommendations, helped my book a taxi to the train station. I reached by flight at 11 pm and was at the hostel very late, even then there was someone available to check me in. I truly appreciate that. My room was nice and clean with all required amenities - slippers, towels, comforter, WiFi, etc.

Just one bathroom in each floor which could be not enough during crowded times! And also distance between rooms and bathroom! Don’t forget that shower and toilet are in a same room!

It’s a very cosy place, with delicious breakfast and good coffee! The guesthouse is also located in a nice area, so it’s safe with some museums close by. The metro closest to it is beautiful, and there’s also a book bazaar at the park. Anvar is very approachable and helpful, and fun to talk to. He has helped me when I needed help with some things. I would stay here again if I return to Tashkent!

Having to leave.

Anvar's is like coming home. Everything is comfortable and exceptionally clean. Anvar is an excellent host, who feels more like a friend. He was kind to upgrade me to a private room with sauna. The room was perfectly heated, double bed, TV, fridge well received. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. Appreciated the cooked to order breakfast in the morning, along with the travel insights and advice from Anvar. This place is my favourite find in Uzbekistan, will continue to come back when ever I'm in Tashkent.

Absolute pleasure to stay at Anvar's. As a solo traveller, I didn't have any plans for New Year's, but to my surprise a celebratory dinner was organised for all the guests. Food, drinks, great company and presents were provided. I had an amazing time at Anvar's that I extend my stay by 2 days and plan to stay again when I return to Tashkent. The location is in a relaxing but central area. Close in short walking distance to mutiplattractions, shops, cafés, eateries and large supermarket. I stayed in the dorm which was extremely clean, comfortable and well designed for my needs. The shared bathroom is large and well maintained. The Guesthouse is beautiful, well equipped, spotless everywhere and attracts a range of interesting people. I enjoyed the daily breakfast cooked to order, the bottle water available and full use of the kitchen facility. Anvar assisted me with money exchange, train ticket purchase and travellers tips. I look forward to my return.

Anvar was an exceptional host! We were invited to join him and his family (with other hotel guests) to celebrate the New Year’s Eve- which was an experience for us. The hospitality was great and the food was awesome! Anvar had taken the extra mile to help us with the airport and train transfers, Chimgan tour and even buying sausages for us. He has made his hotel homey and his guests part of his family. This place is highly recommended!
