Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayBad wifi in the rooms, average breakfast, expensive for Uzbekistan. When the receptionist booked us a taxi to the airport, she didnt inform us that there were two terminals, and just assumed we were flying international without asking. This caused a major delay, a lot of stress and some extra cash for us.
Nice to stay in such a historical building and the view was great. Great location on Amir Temur Square, near metro and great restaurants.

Belgium- No AC in the room. - The hotel is old so the rooms look and feel quite old too. Some parts of the room were quite dusty and the carpet didn't look in the best condition.
- The hotel is huge and it is located in a top location. At walk-able distance you can go behind the hotel and you see a street full of top cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops, bakery, etc. - The room is also quite big and it has a balcony attached to it. The bed was quite comfortable too. - Breakfast has a lot of options too but go early as it can get quite crowded.

AustraliaThe lobby is beautiful but the rooms are a little shabby. But they’re clean and functional.
It’s an iconic hotel to stay in when in Tashkent. The intercontinental it is not, but it has a lot of history. Close to the metro and walking distance to some fancy restaurants.

EstoniaThe lock of our door was funny, we couldn't unlock it from inside in our first tries, which was a little scary. The tap of the bathroom sink was very far away and my daughter couldnt reach it, although she is tall enough for most taps these days.
We were happy to experience this iconic hotel, it was a safe and solid option. The room was as you would expect, a little tired, but spacious and had 2 balconies (which one of them wasnt accessible and the other hadnt been used for a while, since it was dusty) I think the cutest thing was the pot of coffee in the breakfast buffet for everyone! Usually hotels like this serve coffee with modern coffee/espresso machines, but I guess that since the indifference towards coffee as a nation anyway, it was the most they felt was possible to do. But the effort was so cute! They just have that much of a stronger tea culture, so not complaining :) The hotel staff was really welcoming and nice, they allowed to keep our luggage before check in and after check out because we were early, and later had plenty of time until our flight. They always assisted us with ordering a taxi.

HungaryEven though service was generally forthcoming, we've had a housekeeping issue: when making up our room, staff forgot about bringing a garbage can and toilet paper. We've had to contact reception four times about the issue and it took 4 hours, counting from the first try, to get it solved. Also, even though our superior room was decent, the bathtub was in a state of slight disrepair, and we couldn't figure out how to control one of the two ages-old AC units in the room so it just buzzed away constantly.
The hotel offers incredible value. It is quite literally built onto a subway station with access to the Chilonzor and Yunusobod lines, it's central yet 15 minutes from the airport by car, and it costs a fraction of what the large Western hotel chains next door would charge you. It is well-equipped with a 24/7 exchange office, 4 ATMs for local and international cards of all flavors, a supermarket, acceptable wi-fi, and several bars. Breakfast is definitely diverse and above average, if not superb, in quality, and the rooms are in decent condition as well. Add to that the charm of Soviet architecture, and you got yourself a compelling, authentic base for visiting the city.

United KingdomThe Vienna bar ,the friendly staff, and our room was designed for English people because you could use your 3 pinned electric plugs, which we thought was great.
We found the restaurant on the floor, not to our taste, we bought a bottle of Georgian wine, which was very sweet ,like sucking a sugar cube, and food wasn't extra special either. The Vienna bar is excellent, though.

United KingdomThe hotel from the outside looks better than inside unfortunately. The rooms are very basic and soviet and although the price matches this, if you are looking for a more luxury hotel, this isn't it. But it is still very historical and worth the stay.
The staff were very nice and hospitable and offered to pack me breakfast for the next morning as I had an early flight. The location is great and this is a very famous hotel.

The location is perfect. The room size is very large. The breakfast has a variety of kinds of foods, but it is repeated. It was not hot water in floor 12 and then change the room to floor 5 but still the water is not that hot. It takes more than 15 to 20 minutes to be warm. The regular cutting off of WIFI in the room.
