The location is very good, but the room is very old, the staff are very friendly and breakfast is good.

The Vienna bar ,the friendly staff, and our room was designed for English people because you could use your 3 pinned electric plugs, which we thought was great.

We found the restaurant on the floor, not to our taste, we bought a bottle of Georgian wine, which was very sweet ,like sucking a sugar cube, and food wasn't extra special either. The Vienna bar is excellent, though.

Lack of amenities like old AC models that don’t cool much. It’s an issue especially during summers. The bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust.

Huge hotel with all services of a 4 star. Good location. In walking distance to Amir Temur Square and several metro stations. Good buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff. Money changer in the lobby. Wide rooms and bathroom.

The hotel from the outside looks better than inside unfortunately. The rooms are very basic and soviet and although the price matches this, if you are looking for a more luxury hotel, this isn't it. But it is still very historical and worth the stay.

The staff were very nice and hospitable and offered to pack me breakfast for the next morning as I had an early flight. The location is great and this is a very famous hotel.

I did not like furniture it needs to be renewed. I did not like having not hot water. I did not regular disconnections of WIFI.

The location is perfect. The room size is very large. The breakfast has a variety of kinds of foods, but it is repeated. It was not hot water in floor 12 and then change the room to floor 5 but still the water is not that hot. It takes more than 15 to 20 minutes to be warm. The regular cutting off of WIFI in the room.

Tiles ín the bathroom were almost falling down. Top floor bar was very small and too many smoking people.

The air conditioning in the room was grossly inadequate - it was very difficult to sleep at night, and my family ultimately ended up laying down on the floor directly next to the AC unit (the beds were too hot). Admittedly, it was 108 degrees, but temperatures like this are to be expected all summer, every summer, and so the hotel will need to upgrade.

The location was great - hard to beat Amir Temur Maydoni for convenience. The staff spoke English and was helpful. We arrived late in the evening and were very happy to have the restaurant on the top floor open until 11pm.

It`s an old communist herritage of Uzbekistan. If you are looking for something modern don`t book here. The cleaning crew really needs to step up their game. There are some rooms that have connecting doors between them, although they are locked these are not soundproofed and you can hear your neighbour speaking. When booking don`t bother with the breakfast, go out and try some local food.

The location of the hotel is its best feature, this ex communist brutalist behemoth is stunning in its own way because of its size.

Breakfast buffet was big but not delicious and the Greek salad at lunch was not good at all.

Comfortable room, big bed, good location, smooth operation. A historic building, upgraded so it really is a decent, though not luxurious, place to stay. I was upgraded as my booked room wasn't ready by the afternoon..

Friendly staff, great location and an iconic modernist architecture hotel. We were leaving before the restaurant opened for breakfast, and the front desk gladly packed a big breakfast for us to take with us.
