Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BarbadosThis property is advertised on booking.com as it being located in port Elizabeth...not true..no mentioned of it being on a hillside or far from a beach, restaurants/ bars, shops and nightlife, the photos for this property on the site is very deceptive, I booked this property with intentions of seaviews located on or near a beach, instead you're far from it and have to depend on their shuttle to get you in and out of the hotel, which can be frustrating as I'm on holiday and don't like to be looking at my watch to ensure I don't missed scheduled pickups, which ends at 7pm or a $40 XCD dollars taxi back to hotel from port Elizabeth
If you're looking for a peace and quiet sort of a retreat type accommodation surrounded by nature, then this property is for you..it definitely wasn't for me, this property is located on a hillside very remote from everything or anyone, long drive up from Port Elizabeth...for hikers or walkers this would be a great choice as it could be about a 2+ miles walk and a 5-7 minutes drive back and forth, there's a complimentary shuttle for guests with a schedule from port Elizabeth to hotel round trip, the hotel itself is nice with good complimentary breakfast, my room was quite bland with no real character, a mini fridge and a safe was an added amenity, along with complimentary waters, the bathroom was quite nice and well appointed, there's only one plus for me at this location and it's the spectacular views of the ocean in the distance, it can make for beautiful sunsets depending on which room you're assigned...in summary a nice hotel, just not for me

United KingdomBREAKFAST, The breakfast offered as part of our stay was seriously lacking in any effort this let down our experience. The fruit platter contains two small (different) fruit cuts and can only be had as a choice between fruit juice or fruit platter. It's the Caribbean. Almost every other tree had fruits
Hotel was clean and staff polite.

United KingdomRoom needs a bit of tlc…tap was very loose and rainwater seeped in through the roof in the bathroom, and the front louvre door was missing catches so you couldn’t close it, which annoyed me as the bed head was directly in line with the rising sun
Beautiful location overlooking the bay and Spring Estate with cool sea breezes. Large room with comfy beds . Good continental breakfast, and ample choice on the restaurant menu

United KingdomNothing that was any great bother but if I have to name something to help improvement I would say the mattresses on our beds were not very comfortable. The basic continental breakfast was ok for a couple of days but if you are not into american or cooked breakfast by day 3 I really needed some choice. They did have a gamesroom but pool table was not level and cues were not maintained. They didn’t appear to do much to try and keep people at the hotel.. bar was not really used apart from peak times, closed by 9ish so you really needed to go down into town for the evening.
The room was spacious and thoughtfully furnished with mosquito nets on the beds. Lovely view from the hotel to the bay. There were lots of nice artistic finishing touches at the hotel premises with comfortable seating and nice limited sunbeds by the pool. A small but nice little pool. As the location was a little temote and up a mountain the free shuttle was perfect. The staff were very friendly. Restaurant food was generally very nice but a little inconsistent.

United KingdomThe property didn’t have a wardrobe in the hotel room. There wasn’t enough selection of fruit on the fruit platters or herbal teas at breakfast.
I thought the views at Spring Hotel were fantastic. Good variety of food on the lunch and dinner menu. Hotel room was nice with a beautiful sea view. Glen and team are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Shuttle bus down to the beach or Elizabeth port was really helpful.

United KingdomThe map on booking.com is completely wrong and needs correcting. It shows the hotel by the sea in Port Elizabeth, when in fact it’s 2 miles inland in the middle of nowhere!! We also had ongoing problems with lack of hot water to our room, despite efforts by the hotel to fix it.
We had a standard twin room with sea view, good value compared to most hotels on Bequia. Comfortable bed, very quiet location and pleasant terrace overlooking Spring Bay. Room rate included breakfast, consisting of fruit, eggs, toast and jam. Pleasant enough but repetitive. There was also a full menu available at extra cost. Service was a bit erratic so a bit of patience is sometimes needed. Very quiet in the evenings, we had a couple of nice meals there but mostly we went into town where there are some great restaurants by the boardwalk. The hotel is up in the hills about 2 miles from Port Elizabeth, so we relied on the free shuttle bus to get into town and visit the fantastic beaches, which were surprisingly quiet. The schedule was a bit erratic but Glenn the helpful driver always turned up (eventually!). There’s no late evening shuttle service back from town, but there are always plenty of taxis available- quite an entertaining ride as they’re open-back pickup trucks. Met some lovely people at the hotel, it seems to attract independent travellers of a certain vintage. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

NorwayRemember that this hotel is 5 minutes with shuttlebus from center - if you walk it will take 30 minutes down and at least and hour up. The beaches down from the hotel towards east may have rouygh water when windy.
Located a 5 minutes shuttlebus ride from port and center Port Elizabeth. Shuttlebus to port and beaches several times a dya at fixed schedule. Beautiful location with good view towards Atlantic Ocean. Small, but ok breakfast. Good wifi. Nice pool. Staff is polite and helpful. Good food available from restaurant on site.

United KingdomThe menu is limited (chips with everything!). Ther are no gym/leisure facilities beyond the pool; table tennis and a pool table with some very eccentricly shaped balls and no space at one end to take a shot.
The included breakfast is the same every day a fairly measly fruit platter, eggs, toast, jam. Any variations were to my mind quite expensive. The ladies in the hospitality areas were first rate! The shuttle service 3 times a day is useful. The hotel sits atop a very, very, very steep hill only the fittest or the most patient should consider walking back up from town.

United StatesWe didn’t have hot water in the shower - but we moved rooms. The shuttle service is not always available- it is on a schedule, with the first leaving the hotel at 10:30. Taking a taxi can be expensive.

United KingdomLocation is not in the main town, transport to and from provided by very helpful and cheery staff member. On hillside with good views to south east. Clean comfortable room, good Wi-Fi, I was in a room a little away from main building. Good shower. Helpful staff, small but enjoyable swimming pool. Bar and restaurant attached, pizza was good. DominicaImproving the breakfast service by ensuring timely delivery of all items could enhance the dining experience. Additionally, offering a more diverse range of activities would provide guests with more options for entertainment during their stay. A minor drawback was the balcony setup; although our stay was during a quiet period, I noticed limited privacy as balconies were visible from adjacent rooms. It might be more noticeable during busier times with more guests.
The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast, was satisfactory; however, there was a small hiccup when the tea was brought last after the breakfast had concluded. The hotel's location, though uphill with lots of trees, provided a serene atmosphere
