Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandYou need to pay an extra for a room with a window, and late checkout is not available, which forced me to pay for an additional night.
The hotel offers excellent value for money. The room is spacious, bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is plentiful and varied. The overall experience was positive.

AustraliaThat the TV froze and didn't work. Construction work going on until past 12am.
Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. We slept with a construction work outside that went on until past 12am which was unusual for us. Our TV worked but froze all the time. I could see that this is due to poor internet connection. Air-con was not very powerful but enough to get by. Receptionist was helpful and accommodating. Overall, it was nice for a short stay.

AustraliaThe shower water would run out into the bathroom, leaving the bathroom floor full of water.
So close to Ben Thành markets, very presentable and comfortable hotel. Room was clean and tidy. Shower pressure was good and bed was firm and provided 2 pillows. Staff were friendly and easy and quick check in. Breakfast had a good selection, was happy with the options. Had English speaking channels on the tv. The pool area is pretty, not huge but 3 separate pools , comfortable enough during the May heat.

United KingdomI tried numerous times to contact the hotel via email before we arrived but no-one ever go back to me. Lots of charges if anything is broken accidently. Got charged 500'000 VND for a make-up mascara mark on a pillow.
We stayed as a large group of 15 with numerous room types. The hotel was in a fantastic location, 2 mins walk from Ben Thanh market. The rooftop pool was nice but it is very shallow and small, there are 2 tiny pools too. Very crowded rooftop if busy and loud music. The breakfast was really good and they will make fresh omelettes too. Staff were nice. I had a Zen room, which looked amazing and was large but the bathtub was oddly placed and designed, it was a hazard trying to get in it!

IrelandThe only small issue we had was that the pump on the hand soap dispenser was broken so we had to unscrew it and pour it into our hands. On one evening, it took about 10 minutes for the shower water to get warm enough to step under. This only happened once throughout our stay so it did not become an ongoing issue.
The location of this hotel is superb. It is a 3 minute walk to the Ben Thanh Market (a massive indoor market of food, clothing and souvenirs), a 10 minute walk to the city hall, 10 minute walk to the war remants museum (a must do in HCM) and 8 minute walk to the Independence Palace (the directions via Google Maps are incorrect, you must enter the palace grounds via Đ. Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa). It is very central to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and clothing stores, particulary Vincom Center which is a huge shopping mall with everything you need. With regards to the room, we had to be moved from the initial room we were booked into as one of the lights would not turn off even after trying every switch; we did not spend the night in this room nor did we use any of the facilities (shower etc so will not comment on that). The front desk graciously moved us to another room instead where we stayed for the duration of our stay. This was a very comfortable room, with a free mini bar (this is not restocked during the stay FYI) and a large bed. There is a wardrobe that included a safe, bathrobes and extra clothes hangers. The bathroom was clean, with a spacious shower and sink area, and clean, soft towels. The shower gel and hand soap have a beautiful smell, I only wished I asked the reception if I could buy some to take home with me! Breakfast was included in our booking. Breakfast was good, I think the options available could be better however there was still pently there to make sure we were full for the day. Staff were courteous, professional, friendly and very helpful.

United KingdomI dont like Booking.com misrepresentation of the hotel like" family room with free mini bar" as one of the options when you try to choose the type of room. The hotel staff clarified that its only free mini bar for 1 day only and not the whole duration of your stay. I explained to them that the reason why i choose the hotel also is because of the free mini bar that was mentioned in booking.com. But they insisted its only free for 1 day and its not the first time that they heard complaints about it. They were apologetic also eventhough its not their fault... its booking.com and please will you rectify when you said free mini bar and its for 1day only. The standard mini bar are 2 cans of fizzy drinks, 2 cans of beer and 3 snacks. I asked them why there are only 2 cans of fizzy drinks eventhough there are 3guests staying in the room....thats the standard mini bar.
I like the location, the zen ambiance effect outside the room, buffet breakfast serving different varieties, the staff are very accommodating and helpful. They even gave my mom a tray of fruits on her birthday .

AustraliaLittle bit over priced for what it is. Staff are really nice but on the first night of arriving after flying over 8 hours to get to saigon, they rang the room after 12pm asking for some card information as they hadn’t got it when we checked in hours earlier. This was a bit inconsiderate and could have just been sorted out the next morning as we were asleep.
