Everything was perfekt for me. Don't go there if you are not ready for an adventure or want to lern.

My and her husband are so friendly and helpful. My explains a lot of things you never know before. After your stay you will know how the family live in the South of Vietnam. They live self-sufficient and you can learn a lot from them. The bathroom is outdoors. There is plenty of space. Yoga mats are available. Lots of hammocks to chill in.

The only concerning thing is waste management. All the water from the bathrooms goes to a little canal in the middle of the property. Which causes some smell. This will surely become a big problem in the future. Hope they consider building septic tanks.

The best homestay/ hostel I've ever stayed at! I was planning to stay 1 night, but extended it to 3 and wanted to stay longer. Why? You are completely immersed in a local and beautiful environment, you meet and befriend the most amazing travelers on the daily dinners, and your day can be filled with activities or just relaxing. I cycled to the chocolate factory with a few travelers one day, the next I did the homestay tour, and a couple times just cycled around the area. The tent was not as hot as I expected at night, and I had a great sleep. Lastly, Amy, the owner, is an absolute boss and the most hardworking! Overall a magical experience and a highlight of my Vietnam trip!

Amy and her family are just the absolute best! She knows everything about the area and will let you in on all its secrets, guiding you into a completely new world full of coconuts, bananas and soooo much love - I felt right at home with the family and all the travelers I met there… it’s a unique place <3 thank you

    I wouldn't change a thing!

Wow!! What a special spot. After three months in Vietnam this was my favourite homestay experience. It's a very well-run and organized homestay, that also feels quite relaxed and informal. It's a family-run homestay, and Ms Amy and Mr Hieu are incredible people - so kind, warm, funny, and interesting. Meals were delicious, and had good variety. They were able to accommodate a vegan diet (though double check about each dish at mealtime). I enjoyed the family-style format, and loved the you could join in and learn from the cooking. Free water refills. Transportation from the bus stop to the hostel, lunches, and dinner, and beers were all reasonably priced. The river activity/excursion was a BLAST and excellent value. Activities and famil-style meals and common spaces mean lot of opportunities to connect with the family and with other travellers. The free bikes were in decent shape (nothing fancy needed since the area is flat and the roads are good). Accomodations and facilities are rustic but tidy and well kept. Cool to see traditional building styles. Dorms only four beds in a room so pretty quiet. Bed was clean and comfortable. A few sweet dogs and cats around. The surrounding community is peaceful and the coconut tree farms are beautiful.

We had an amazing stay, one of our best. Amy is very nice and friendly. the Mekong boat trip with Amy is absolutely amazing, definitely not to be missed. It is not a classic tourist tour, but a real experience where you will learn a lot. Cooking and processing coconuts together is also great. And the food is delicious. Thanks Amy for these experiences.

The cat can suprise you during the night;)

It is a real homestay, there are three generations living or working there. Every day there is a workshop like making coconut oil or rice crêpes, in which you can participate. For the meals you sit around a long table with all other travellers and you can exchange travel and life experiences. I really appreciated the meals with other people as a solo traveller. The building material is local, the food and the recipes are local. I spent three great days.

Delicious food and coffee - a big variety so you get to try lots of new local food! The family and staff treat you like family and teach you so much about the culture. The boat trip was INSANE, it felt like a dream. They also provide free workshops every evening to learn skills such as making coconut oil and you can help cook family lunch and dinner! You will also eat ALOT of coconut 😍 Stay for 2 nights MINIMUM!

It would be nice that the showers and toilets facilities were a bit more private. The walls are built with tree parts, so there are some gaps that could be patched.

Loved the place. Amazing staff. Very nice hostel for solo travellers. Also very recommended to take the tour with them, for sure was one of my highlights in Vietnam.

I can’t say that I found anything negative, everything is clean, the bed is comfortable enough and has a mosquito net.

It is a very chill but social place where you get a small insight to the local life in the delta. The owners and workers are extremely friendly and funny and you will have a great time here. I highly recommend doing their boat tour, had an amazing day! Oh and the food is some of the best you will ever have, great for vegetarians! They also have a filtered water tap so you don’t need to worry about that.

We had an excellent stay at Ecoco ! The food is amazing and some of the best we had in Vietnam, so fresh and tasty. The boat tour is the best experience we had in Vietnam and we couldn't imagine better! The staff are a charming family, they made sure that our stay was great and we felt comfortable. We stayed in a comfortable tent and the facilities were really clean. PS : I loved waking up every morning in nature and cuddling the cat as much as I could.🐱

Ecoco is a wonderful place to spend a few days in the heart of the Mekong delta. Amy and her husband are wonderful hosts and you can feel that they love what they are doing at all times. The homestay is nested in peaceful palm tree gardens surrounded by small waterways. You can learn how to make all kinds of coconut produce, like coconut oil and candy. The staff is super friendly and always eager to demonstrate their skills. Make sure to take the boat trip and be prepared to get a little dirty. We rarely had a better expirience than that one day on the waterways with amy and the other adventurers. If you think the homestay is a bit off the beaten path you are correct; but thats where it needs to be! Living right with and as the locals do, fresh local food every day and the possibility to learn how people in the delta go about their daily lives. There is no better place. Ask the hosts how to get there, jump on the next bus, you wont regret it!
