The excursion in the morning at 6am is a waste of time so suggest you sleep and give it a miss. The food is also pretty average but I suspect all the boats are doing buffet

SpainThe arrival was a bit chaotic. All the ships follow the same route basically as set by the government so it gets quite crowded. The second day on the 2 night trip is quieter as you go on a daytrip on a smaller boat.
The scenery. The attention from the staff before boarding (Jennie) and on board (Peter, Leo and William). Even the basic cabin is very comfortable. The second day excursion was very enjoyable (only available for 2 night stays which I highly recomend).

From a gift in our room to a private dining experience on the front deck. Our room was spectacular with panoramic views. IrelandNot really a fault of the cruise company, however the rubbish in Ha Long Bay is so disappointing to see. During the kayaking activity, it was awful to see plastic bags and styrofoam in the water, washed up on the beaches or caught up in the rock edges. There was an option to jump into the water from the boat for a swim, we did it but only stayed in the water for a quick minute because of the state of the water, many other passengers did not join at all due to the pollution.
The room we stayed in was really lovely - very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in, and the shower pressure was good. You are provided with bottles of water, and fresh fruit in the room. The food service was particularly great. The lunch on the first day was a buffet option with plenty of choices for people. The dinner was a set menu of a couple of courses. The main course was a selection of fresh sea food such as clams, oysters and fish, and the portion size was plenty - we were even asked if we wanted more seafood, I assume to prevent any waste which was nice. The activities were good fun. The sea kayaking was great, the area is very calm so there is no aggressive waves to deal with. The squid fishing in the evening after dinner was surprisingly relaxing. We also had the chance to make some Vietnamese spring rolls before dinner. The prices for cocktails are slightly more expensive than what you get on the mainland, however this is expected. That being said, they are still much cheaper than what we would pay at home for a cocktail in Europe, and the cocktails were made very well. There is also happy hour of 2 +1 which is a nice bonus. The itinerary is well thought out, and you are provided with a sheet on arrival to explain everything from the time of kayaking, when happy hour is, when dinner begins etc. A particular shoutout to the amazing staff on the cruise. We were never left wanting, or without assistance. Jenny from the office was very responsive to queries, and organised the bus transfer for us from Hanoi which made it very easy to get to the cruise.

Jenny from operation office was awesome, all queries responded within minutes, all requests taken care of,. Shout out to her and all the cruise staff for their incredible effort to make us feel at home. The boat itself was beautiful and very clean. While some areas do show signs of time, we didn't mind at all. Itinerary was well thought out, perfect blend of activities and relaxing time. Overall a must try experience!

AustraliaThe food could have been more varied, would have liked more traditional Vietnamese options, but I guess they need to cater for everyone. Also different activities at night would be good, making rice paper rolls and squid fishing was fun, but no need to do them both nights. This isn’t specific to Le Theatre, but just like everyone else mentions, they really need to do something about the amount of rubbish in the bay, spoils such a beautiful part of the world
We were given a room upgrade & even a surprise cake at dinner on my birthday!! The boat was amazing, fantastic facilities and there was always more than enough food. Would definitely recommend staying the two nights as the day 2 activities included; visiting a small village in Cat Ba island, bike riding through rice fields and kayaking into a cave (those on the single night missed out on all this) Our waiter Lucky was fantastic, he really looked after us at every opportunity.

SloveniaI recommend 2 night stay, because of the trip they offer. In you only stay day you do not get full experience. And this is my only critic - boat which takes you to second day trip is smaller and by far not so comfortable as the main boat.
Ship is comfortable and rooms are very nice, spacious and clean (we stayed in Panorama suite), food is good and there is a lot od options, stuff is amazing (especially our butler John and manager Peter).

SlovakiaDinner is mostly focus on sea food, and they do not really know how to cook good meat (meat was always dry or chuwwy) If you do not like seafood, your options will be limited but they will try to prepare you something extra. Poool is not really a pool, it’s more like a little fountain, do not expect swimming in it. Drinks are crazy expensive. Expect to pay 220.000vnd for a coctail. but there is happy hour 2+1 free every evening
