Friendly staff for a magnificent place

Halong Bay has been in our bucket list for a long time and being there truly felt incredible. Our room was outstanding, very spacious with bathtub overlooking the bay, big standing shower, huge bed and satellite TV with international channels. Wifi was weak so we ended up watching some TV before bed and caught Pretty woman which was nice :) All 4 meals were good, especially the seafood dinner on the first night, very fresh ingredients, beautifully presented with generous portion. Good selection of wine. We ordered a bottle of bubbly Bottega, and it was absolutely wonderful, went perfectly with the seafood. The staff was the star of the show, professional, knowledgeable with good English skill and super caring. Vietnamese hospitality is truly on another level.

While the location speaks for itself, the cruise ship is indeed very beautiful, intimate with 30 something guests which leaves plenty of space for us to roam around with privacy. The crew was super professional and helpful, always willing to go the extra miles to make us feel welcome. Food was amazing of course ( Vietnamese food lovers here ^^) Overall experience: 10/10

The only down side (which is not the fault of Le Theatre Cruise), was all the rubbish and pollution in Ha Long Bay. Just worth mentioning as we were surprised - we went kayaking twice and both times came back covered in polystyrene beads.

Beautiful cruise, delicious food and lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day cruise.

Our 2 days and 1 night journey began at 8:15 when we were picked up from our hotel and boarded the bus to Halong. It was a comfortable ride on highway and took around 3 hours to reach Tun Chao island in Halong city (where the dock is located). Weather was nice and it was refreshing to see the harbour where many boats are docking. We were then transfered to the main boat by a smaller boat which took around 1 hour. Lunch was served before we checked into our cabin which was one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in, huge bed, clean bathroom and the view from our terrace was incredible. We then proceeded to kayaking and afternoon tea followed by a small cooking class where we learnt to make spring rolls. Dinner was served around 7 and we had the best seafood dinner (seafood lover here :)) Everything was fresh and locally sourced and the food just kept coming. Lilian our waitress kept checking on us to see if we need more food but really it was too much, we couldn't finish everything. The 2nd day we did a bamboo boat ride to see the dark cave, we especially loved this activities and would highly recommend you wake up a bit early to participate. We arrived back to harbour around 11:30 and reached our hotel around 3pm. It was a perfect little side trip if you're in the North side of Vietnam. Tips: - Best dipping sauce recipe: Salt, pepper, chilli pepper and a bit lime juice , literally go well with everything! - Ask bar staff for drinking board games, they have some and was quite fun!

All was excellent from facilities, service to atmosphere. The bay itself was magnificent of course but the cruise staff did a really good job allowing us to fully enjoy ourselves. Overall we had a lovely experience and would certainly recommend!

The food unfortunately let the stay down- buffet choices were OK but set menus weren't good and portions excessive with many courses coming at once.

The staff were all exceptional and made our stay one to remember. Room was excellent as well.

Excellent service and great facilities. Staff went above and beyond to provide us with a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our time onboard. The only thing that needs improvement was softer pillows. Their pillows were a bit hard and we are used to flat pillows that support neck. Personal preference though. Other than that, all good.

It does not directly have to do with Le Theatre Cruises. The boat ride to the caves is a beautiful experience but also poses the problem of pollution. :( I hope tour companies are doing their bit to clean up and preserve the beauty of Halong Bay.

Great for 1-night stay. Food was great onboard and the staff were attentive.

The cruise staff was superb, very helpful and patient with us explaining about the area and itinerary. We also loved the local cuisine served during our stay and the bar made decent cocktails. Overall a great experience that we'd be happy to share with our friends and family!

Everything was perfect except when we opened the door to the balcony some insects got inside. The cruise does provide insects spray if you need and given this is a tropical country it's unavoidable. Just a friendly reminder!

Fantastic experience that exceeded our expections. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our cabin was heavenly and we had the best sleep (very comfortable bed). We were also blessed with good weather which added nicely to the experience. Overall easy 10/10

Everything was wonderful. If there's 1 thing that could use a little improvement was more entertainment after dinner. On the other hand if you just need quiet relaxing time and unplugging from the outside world, this experience would be perfect!

Definitely the highlight of our Vietnam trip. Jennie from operation was a sweetheart, always replied within minutes and took care of all of our requests. Dave - our tour guide was professional and helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean and the food was amazing with lots of options. I can't recommend enough!!!!

Not an issue of the cruise , but we were a little disappointed by the presence of garbage in the waters.

Overall an excellent cruise. Standouts were the bay itself of course, but also the kindness and helpfulness of the staff and the cruise manager. Also the seafood was mouth watering!

The cost of drinks was ridiculous and the cleaning of the rooms not very thorough. Our bathroom was quite mouldy (in the shower) and there was toothpaste on the blinds

Beautiful scenery, not as many other ships as some other areas. Ship is well presented and tidy with helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are comfy and love the private balcony

They kindly upgraded us to the Panorama Suite for our anniversary. I would recommend asking in the off chance they have this room available, as it was genuinely one of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed.

The cruise was absolutely amazing! I was speechless to see Halong bay for the first time, what a spectacular place. The view from our balcony was fire. The vibes on board were so chill and the staff were all super cool and friendly. Food was excellent and we had the best sleep in a while. Nothing beats waking up to the view of the bay though. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely recommend!

There's nothing much to do at night after dinner except for squid fishing but we do appreciate them leaving sets of chess in the 2nd deck lounge for us to entertain ourselves. Very nice touch!

We had the wonderful time onboard Le Theatre cruise. The staff did their best to take care of us and shared their best knowledge of the area. We were served a seafood set menu for dinner and the food just kept coming. Despite everything being super yummy we couldn't finish our dinner. But if you can, you can ask for more which was very generous imo. Our room was beautiful and clean and we had hot running water with good pressure. The pillow was a bit hard imo but it was ok for my gf. Overall we had a good rest and really enjoyed our time!

Our bedroom was a little tired looking and needed repainting. However it was comfortable.

There are so many cruises to choose between and we chose Le Theatre off a recommendation. It’s spacious in the communal areas and on the top deck. And the food was delicious and in big portions.
