How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room had a strange smell, but I get we got used to it.
The two best things about this hotel are: 1. THE STAFF! Lena and Kris were amazing, super friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations. 2. The double glazed windows in our room! Our room looked onto the street, and knowing how noisy Hanoi is, the sound insulation was so appreciated! The location is super central, walking distance to everywhere. We didn’t like the breakfast options that much so skipped that. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel.

everything was amazing.
the location was great, bear of the most important places to visit, the personal of the hotel was nice and make free upgrade for own honeymoon, decoration and the supplies 10/10 super recomendable.

Nothing to dislike. We loved everything.
The property was beautiful and well maintained. Our room was spotlessly clean with great amenities. We also loved the complimentary water each day and the delicious breakfast, set up in the cozy rooftop dining area. Everyone was so warm and friendly. Especially the wonderful Lena and Kris at the front desk. They provided 5 star service and were so kind, helpful and an utter delight to interact with. Lena even brought up a local delicacy to our room, after she noticed that we loved trying all the local dishes and favourites. Could not have asked for a better place and better first experience in Hanoi. Do yourself a huge favour and stay here. Location was also very convenient and we enjoyed walking everywhere. There is a bank nearby to change money, a pharmacy, a local convenience store opposite and countless cafes and sidewalk eateries right outside the doorstep!

The hotel is quite small, so when the cleaning begins in the morning, you can hear the noise in your room. There's also noise from the street, but I guess that's Hanoi for you.
Great-looking room with a comfortable bed. Located right between the Lake and the street market/food street. Superb service, helpful and friendly

The walls are a little thin. You can hear the people in the other rooms clicking light switches etc. Also when people are in the hall, you can hear them.
The staff is awesome and really helpful. They took care of everything we asked of them. The location is excellent.

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, quiet and in a great location right in the old town. The breakfast selection is very good and everything is very tasty. But above all the staff are really nice and helpful. We stayed there 2 nights and then came back after the Halong Bay tour. As we left that night, we didn’t need a hotel room but we could leave the luggage there, they booked us a wonderful restaurant including transfer, even though we were not even staying at the hotel that day. Thank you for everything! Will definitely come back when in Hanoi!

Not the widest selection for breakfast, but what they did have was good.
Great location, really lovely room. We arrived very early and they kindly let us check into a room early (for a small fee). We had a balcony which was great and a very luxe feel to the rooms.

This hotel is a wonderful place of respite in busy Hanoi. The location is excellent and provides peace in the middle of the Old Quarter. The staff are friendly and helpful in the best way. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable, and quiet.

Water pressure was a little weak. Breakfast space was a little limited and a bit rushed. Some road noise, but that's the same everywhere in Hanoi!
Location is fantastic. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Had a great massage. Rooms are spacious with huge, comfy beds. Very beautifully decorated.

We booked this hotel last minute for our stay in Hanoi. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was just perfect. From the location, to rooms to comfort. The shower pressure was amazing and just perfect after our long days of exploring. The Concierge Team - Lena and Chris - made an exceptional effort to ensure our stay was just perfect. Also, the breakfast set up each morning was plentiful, yummy and in their beautiful dining room on the 8th floor.

One of the best hotel experience in Vietnam. It is in the best part of Hanoi Old Quarter as it is in a slightly calmer and wider street, but surrounded with great local restaurants, café places. Staff was super helpful, they gave us great advices. We stayed there 4 times in 3 weeks (every time just 1 night).

Nothing. Everything was perfect.
We had a splendid stay at the hotel. The location is perfect, for exploring the old quarters of Hanoi - we didn't have to take any cabs and walked everywhere in the old town. Service is amazing - the staff helped us book an airport pickup and drop at very reasonable prices (same as grab) and also helped us book tickets for the puppet show. They also helped us by keeping our luggage with them while we went to Ha Long Bay for two nights. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing - the pho was specially good, and one of the best we had during our two weeks in Vietnam, and that's saying a lot!

We're 3 nights in this hotel, the location is superb. It is located within the walking distance of the old hanoi streets, restaurants and shopping stores. The room is clean, breakfast is included with a wide varieties of choices available. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, in a word : Super.
